Chelsea Dagger. I think the band is something like The Fradellies or something retarded like that. I could never listen to anything by this band, but especially this song. It's become popular as a goal song in hockey, and I think the entire planet has lost an average of 25 IQ points since this band came along. Honestly, they sound like a bunch of drunken hobos crying in the gutter during a thunderstorm. Whoever the fuck thought it was a good idea to give them money and a record deal needs to be strangled to death with his own intestinal tract.

I could probably nominate most popular music over the last few years, but as far as songs that were acutally popular (many have been mentioned above), with comments following:

But the worst is Starship's "We Built this City." The worst part is Jefferson Airplane was actually a real band at one point. This is just a terrible song. Awful lyrics, a rhythm that would give an ogre a headache and super-synthesized beyond 80's levels. Just ghastly.
