You don't "acquire" a kid and regulate him to the bench.

Nice try though.

He found out the hard way that you don't just come to Tigertown and just start. It's the big leagues not the ECOL or PAC-7.

Worked for Zwick, what kid was regulated on when he came to town? Rather play in the ECOL with kids that grew up together than try to buy high school championships trying to keep my town relevant. Well Massillon already is irrelevant but as long as the football team is winning its citizens think it is relevant.

Further proof except for a bunch of highschool boys you have nothing. Bragging about a Division 1 team beating on a D III team 3 years ago?

Obviously Mr. Ifft thought he could catch ya'll in a down year and in the same breath get his son some nice looks from the big boys. I agree its dumb they backed out of the contract but I don't think that game benefits either team the following year anyways.

Obviously he was wrong, we beat ya 34-0, and it wasn't even that close. And why would he need the Massillon game to get his kid some, "nice looks from the big boys"? Rumor has it that if you're good enough, they'll find you. Is this what you teach your kids? Well, we can't beat em, so let's just break the contract. Sorry, we thought we were playing a tough, athletic, no quit team, that would give us all we could handle, at least that's what the Dover posters were claiming.
