As a KSU alum, I am receiving all kinds of literature from the school urging me to attend some of the games this year. They are doing an all-out push to have 90,000 people attend the six games (average of 15,000 per). They actually got 16,000 people at the Murray State game. That wasn't bad considering that Ohio State was on TV that night.

15k is tough. Toledo has a large market and still only has like 12k season tickets, and their tickets this year were extremely cheap.

Anyone know what FCS schools charge per ticket, I'm guessing it's not much more than HS games.

I have a family member who plays down at EKU. Average ticket prices there are between $10-15/game. I'd imagine prices for tickets are a little higher in places where FCS football is a little more popular like in the Northeast (Ivy and Colonial League) and up in Montana.

What's the cost of a game at Kent or Akron? Would they benefit form lowering prices?

I am no MAC expert that is for sure. So I have a question for those that follow the MAC far more than I do. Is Akron young? Is that the main reason they are struggling this season. I know they replaced the head coach with a Notre dame former coach. How young is Akron U or are they really that bad.

PS. Please if you are an idiot please do not respond I am looking for serious replies to a serious question.

Ohio reserve tickets range from $20 to $30 depending on who the Bobcats are playing. Seems pricey when you consider Peden Stadium seats 24,000 and they averaged 18,000 per home game in 2009.

I go to Akron. They actually returned a good bit of experience this season. At the beginning of the season there were talks about competing for the MAC East. However, after the disappointing losses to Syracuse and Gardner Freaking Webb, a lot of people are calling for Coach Ianello's head. Personally I think the main reason he was brought in and given a chance is because he is supposed to be a pretty good recruiter. In my opinion, the offense looks OK, and the defense looks like shit, especially the secondary. Looking at the schedule..I see 2 winnable games left if they dont improve a lot..Ball State and Miami

It depends on the weekend more than the opponent. The $30 games are always Homecoming and Parent's Weekend, so they can gouge the shit out of alumni and parents that they know will pay it.

There's usually one game that has some $5 ticket special... creates high attendance that allows us to hit that 15K average.

Yeah....It also helps to be a student. I don't know what the policy is nowadays but back in the early 80's students got in for "free" when they show they student ID at the gate. I guess you get a season pass in your tuition and that counts as paid attendance. lol

At least the MAC beat somebody today. True, UConn, Colorado St., and Marshall are not the cream of the crop, but at least we beat some I-A teams. Maybe we will get lucky next week and beat someone from the Big Ten.
