Don't have the complete league schedule, but here is Beechcroft's non league

Week 1: Independence
Week 2: Watterson
Week 3: @ St. Charles

Independence has been added back to the schedule, after being gone for two seasons.

Interesting, from what I heard DeSales actually contacted Beechcroft about playing Week 1. I heard Beechcroft turned them down tho, not wanting to play DeSales, Watterson, and St. Charles back-to-back-to-back weeks.

Never understood that..why would you be afraid to play so many good teams right after another? Just helps you prepare for the postseason IMO.

I agree completely

Plus it would have been interesting seeing them play three catholic league schools in a row

No time to rest. More likely to get injured. Esp. if they are games right before post-season play. That is why going into this year, the backhalf of Massillon's schedule scared me so much.

You have all week to rest..and you can get injured in any game..toughness of the team doesn't matter IMO.

I'm sorta of surprised they even scheduled Watterson. I'm a Beechcroft supporter but I'm also a realist. I think next year will be a down year. 3/4 of the team this year was seniors, and a lot were 3, some even 4 year starters. A lot of rebuilding.

Ultimately I think that may have been the reason to not schedule DeSales. I did hear however that had Beechcroft not already scheduled Watterson, they would have took DeSales up on the offer.

This is an interesting tidbit because DeSales should be playing Gahanna week 1. Did Gahanna back out?

Maybe they were trying to drop Gahanna?

From what I have heard, DeSales is in no position to back out of or drop anyone.

Ok Salem needs to drop United and play Mooney week 3! HAHA, probably be a massacre that Mooney wouldn't even want to schedule but I'd like to see the Quakers start building the schedule up just a bit.

I think anyone from Mooney would tell you that their schedule is a big reason that they are playoff ready. Play the best to be the best.

Exactly, they play a brutal schedule every year--that's why if Salem wants to keep their program running at a playoff level they have to get back to a tough schedule. Or at least not playing teams like United, because even though they beat us 3 straight years, any decent Salem team is usually going to destroy them. I want to see them beef up the OOC schedule a bit.

Have them give the AD at Mooney a call! The more local games the better for us driving fans!

Haha, no kidding! Salem's AD wouldn't call Mooney and I'd be surprised if you guys would play us. Although maybe next year because we should be pretty solid and still be able to get your some good playoff points ;)

No need to drive, we'd love to host you at Reilly but I would hope Salem would travel to Youngstown for the chance to play Mooney.
