LOL...Upset!?! Millions who helped elect Obama are disillusioned and extremely upset with his policies. It's likely the millions of naive first-time voters Obama wooed and mobilized will have little motivation to vote in the next election. Probably not even a slam dunk that Obama gets the nomination if Hillary were to decide to challenge him. A lot can happen in the next 2 years, but on present course it's very possible Hillary or someone else would get nominated if it appears likely Obama can't win. Of course, this all points to the necessity of making Hillary his running mate.

They fire a woman because "she'll be on Glenn Beck tonight." Well, why didn't BHO say, "Hey Michelle, you do realize if you go to spain 'you're going to be on Glenn Beck tonight.'" Just one more opportunity for Conservatives to pound the drum of demagoguery. Michelle could have gone to Spain and cured a child of paralysis with the touch of her palm and this wouldn't have been acceptable; helping out a sloth good for nothing on the taxpayer dime I imagine it might have been framed, but I digress. I don't know about you, but I have a feeling Obama doesn't "tell" Michelle what to do. I am pretty sure she lets him know if he starts, she will go straight up gansta on his skinny behind and slap him sideways.

So no other President has done things with famous people then?

Or did these veterans not enjoy seeing all the big basketball names or something?

A First Lady who was just on television imploring people to visit Gulf states hurt by the oil spill jetting off at taxpayer expense for a COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY TRIP OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES at a time when ANY resort in the country could have used the money to help Americans keep jobs?

You know damn well what she did was foolish and wrong. Why not admit it. What ANY prior First Lady or President did for vacations isn't comparable to this situation. Because of our current economy, and her visit to the Gulf (and promotion) it's unique.

Not all of us who voted for him are disillusioned. I for one am very satisfied with his performance. I just wish he would generate more jobs.

As far as 2012 is concerned, Obama will be re-elected if for no other reason than the fact that the Republicans are not going to put up a good candidate. Who have they got? Palin? Every potential Republican candidate that I see has a lot of baggage. That plus the fact that the economy should pick up by then, so people will be happier with Obama than a lot of people today think.

This administration has been a disaster. The economy is worse. The wars are still on....and may have been handled more poorly. The public's faith in government is at a generational low. We're entering into a new order where it isn't about ideas, its about whether you work for GOVCO and take all of the perks that go along with that, or you're the sucker paying for the former's benefits.

I will agree that it was short sighted of the people advising Michelle to not implore her to take a trip within the states. However, I'm not going to act like it's a gigantic deal because literally every first lady and their kids have taken trips and vacations and such.
