Your thread describing how a stock option works was a bald-faced lie, just to point point out one. You've been caught a number of times. This thread is just your most recent.

Do they teach "lie and deny" at the dogshit schools people like you attend?

I explain this guy's sleepless nights as this being a guy who has high expectations of himself and would never expect those types of mistakes. IF you are confident and competent at your job, then you feel something society calls...remorse....for doing something that produces less than expected. (especially at the highest level of your profession) It has nothing to do with your "cheating" or "debacle" dramatizaitons.
Dude...the guy stated that he made mistakes that changed the course of the game. And people call me a spin doctor? I commend this official for coming clean. Kudos to this guy for admitting failure that day. It took well respected baseball ump Denkinger one day to admit that he blew it on Gallaraga's perfect game. The stakes were lower, but you never heard one Tampa Ray player or fan stick up for this umpire. Yet.....still....after 200 plus posts on this thread....not one Steeler fan has the same contrition as this official....not one!...and as such agree that the Steelers were beneficiaries of bad officiating.

Why am I not surprised?

Like I said before.....had the Browns been gifted like that, it would have left a horribly sour taste in my mouth...and I would have acknowledged the bad officiating. Pretty much every Browns thread...I have stated when the Browns received a gift. That's just the way I am...and the way I was raised.

LOL. QueerCityBuckeye has checked in. I apologized not once...but twice on that thread for being wrong. Is that what "liars" do? Change the phrase 'stock options" to "stock" and my thread would have been 100% dead nuts accurate. Moreover, the overall theme of the thread was accurate....that both stocks and stock options are taxed a full 63% less than Joe Salesman who works off of commission (at the top marginal rate). Why don't you tell everyone here on the sports board how much money you make? LOLOL.

What's interesting....you never want to debate me over there. Why is that? You never challenge my stats. Why is that? You're too busy flipping intricate financial paper products which was and is a major contributor to our economy going into the shitter. Your Wharton education sure has benefited society hasn't it?

apparently you didn't even read my preivous post...I have already addressed that.

My post wasn't spin...it was spot on.....this guy admitted he made a mistake....he feels bad because he made a mistake...not because he cheated, because shockingly, he didn't cheat.

Footwedge;444889 wrote:Yes...I cited an opinion poll that supported the argument. An opinion obviously shared by this officiial....who obviously felt that he screwed the Seahawks. Tell you what KE....do a youtube search of the holding call. It's there for all to see. The game is over, the Steelers won. So you can relax, have a beer, and view it without the rose colored glasses on.

The Steeler end at the top of the screen clearly beat the snap count. He was offside. The left tackle for Seattle had to react quickly in order to protect Hasselback. He rode the d end past the quarterback, without a whiff of holding. The pass is completed down to the one yard line. AND THEN the ref throws a flag for holding.

As for the previous game against the Colts, the Steelers were in fact hosed. The Palumalu interception was blown up to high heaven by the media. Because of the hoopla on the Colts game, the officials wanted to make certain that Pittsburgh didn't get screwed in the Super Bowl. It's kind of like the basketball refs working the officials when several close calls goes against them.

This partially explains the horrible officiating in that Super Bowl.

He apologized for accidentally missing a couple calls in a big game. He also said that he did the best he could at the time. A couple bad calls happen EVERY game. If you're good enough to overcome them (Pittsburgh vs. the Colts that postseason).....then you win. If not, you lose. Game over.

And if opinion polls can be cited to strengthen an argument.....you must think they carry weight. Well, I guess Miami(FL) fans have a gripe since 65% of those who voted in an ESPN poll thought that '03 Fiesta Bowl PI call at the end of regulation was a bad one. Are you apologizing for that victory? Lemme guess, "they were holding us all game so it should not have come down to that." LOL. Typical. Gotta love those double standards.

I did miss your original post. Nice to see a modicum of fairness coming from a Steeler fan. Whereby you didn't come out and say the calls were bad, at least you admitted that they favored the Steelers. So I stand corrected. There is in fact one Steeler fan (out of 10 so far?) here that respects fair competition and the value of human spirit. Kudos to you sir. Maybe you should bottle it and give out free samples at the entrance of the Squirrel Hill Tunnel.

Were there are couple missed calls that went the Steelers way in Super Bowl XL? I think so. However, there were a couple missed calls against the Steelers earlier that postseason vs. the Colts. Guess what? The Steelers still won the game. The Seahawks evidently weren't good enough to overcome a couple missed calls. Tough shit.

It's like how Miami(FL) fans/OSU "haters" still bitch about the 2003 Fiesta Bowl and the PI call at the end of the game. Get over the shit.
Yeah, but only one Steeler fan admitted it.

I've already addressed the NC game with Miami. There is very little comparison between the 2 games. Since you missed it the first time....had the NCAA had instant replay, then the Buckeyes are kneeling on the ball at the end of regulation. In the Super Bowl, there was a pattern of foul smelling stench from the first quarter through to the fourth. Apples and oranges.

Are you a Seahawks fan? Because if you are, I think it's stupid that people from Ohio don't root for Ohio teams. If you aren't, why the fuck does this matter to you? Oh wait, because Pittsburgh was involved. To that I say, I think it's stupid when people from Ohio bitch about other teams winning Super Bowls. Please, find a fucking State of Washington Chatter and post this on there because I'm sure you'll get the "I AGREE!" you are looking for.

P.S. Ohio State sucks donkey dick.

A couple missed calls and now the whole game was basically fixed. BTW, nice tin foil hat.

If the Steelers weren't involved with this charade, no I wouldn't have posted a thing. So what's your point?

Not that it matters...but OhioChatter is a OHIO website. As Jay would say....HELLO!!!.

I root against Pittsburgh every season...every week. I like the Rooneys a lot. I really do. But talking smack is fun. Always has been fun. When Cleveand teams win, I gloat. When Ohio State teams win...I gloat.

If you want polite applause like you see when a pro golfer taps in for par, knock yourself out. Fuck the politically correct stuff. Michigan blows and so do the Steelers.

You know, my fellow Cleveland fans gave Capone a lot of shit. Some of it crossed the line...but a lot of it was all good in my book.

Capone understands the rivalry.

Capone is the worst poster on this site. I wouldn't try to use him to make yourself look better.

But you're whining is annoying as shit. The ref said he made mistakes. Uh, duh. There was no fix. The Steelers won. The Steelers have 6 rings. This will not take one of their rings away. So this is you trying to say "they didn't really win." Well, they did. So shut up. You're making yourself look like an idiot.

And I hate the fucking steelers.

No, it doesn't "neutralize" it. That was a different game altogether. Simply pointing out that it happens just about every game and some teams are good enough to overcome it.

YOU are a spin doctor. And the Steelers blow? That's funny. The only thing you've got to hang your hat on is that game last December and I suggest that you live it up for as long as you can. The Steelers have pretty much owned the Browns the last 6 years. Oh, and the Steelers have won 2 Super Bowls in that time as well. You haven't had many opportunities to gloat when it comes to that. Enjoy your memories from the 40+ years ago. And here I thought only us ND fans lived in the past.

Oh well, I'm gonna go watch Steelers defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau get inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The whole Pittsburgh Steelers team is there to show respect for one of their coaches.
