I should be able to get this game in..

I hate the fact that FSN won't pick up day games though. I don't know if it's up to them or the League, but it's damn annoying.

I'm sure both WGN and FSN will have it.

I was just referring to mid week day games. FSN won't pick them up..

FSO has decided to carry next Wednesday's Day game vs. St. Louis as well... So the next 6 games are all on FSO

Well that's good. But Monday night's game won't be. ESPN is showing it.

Well it will be on FSO, but it will be blacked out.

Blacked out on FSO?? I've never seen that. It could be blacked out on ESPN if it's not a sellout.

Majortity of the work has been from home this week so I've caught up on my chattering and now I will be around to watch a few WGN games.

The Reds lead the NL in runs. When was the last time, this late, we could say this?? Only 4 teams in the League have more; NYY, BOS, TB, TEX.

Votto is up to .324 Hot damn.

Looks like only Sunday's game will be on WGN. Looks like today's and Saturday are on Comcast - Chicago. I hope todays day game on FSO is picked up by Suddenlink in Marietta. It should be so long as it was scheduled to be on FSO from the beginning on the original schedule. Does anyone know if that is the case?

And that with a bad wrist! I didn't see him take any check swings that would have aggravated it in Pittsburgh. He had an intentional walk Tuesday then 5 ABs Wed.

Do you suppose Dusty will start Stubbs today since there is a lefthander pitching and he could sit Bruce and put Heisey in RF. Stubbs had 3 homers in his last appearance at Wrigley, I think when his parents were there from Texarkana, Texas that weekend. His dad said they could get to Chicago in less miles than it would take them to get to El Paso!

I don't think Dusty sits Bruce in favor of Heisey. Why in the world would you ever sit someone who isn't doing anything at the plate in favor for someone who is playing very, very good??? lol

But I do think Stubbs will be in center.

Pretty nice little blurb about Votto:

Could Votto win a Triple Crown? It still isn't out of the question. He leads the league in batting. He was leading in homers until Adam Dunn passed him Wednesday. And in the RBI column, Votto trails a guy who just landed on the disabled list (Ryan Howard) by only eight.

And if the traditional Triple Crown doesn't work out for him, Votto is still on pace to win the "Modern Triple Crown" -- championed by my friend Joe Posnanski over at SI.com. He leads the league in batting, on-base percentage and slugging percentage. And if he can hang on, he'd become just the ninth man in the last half-century to win the all-decimal-point version of the Triple Crown.

But even if the Reds' big bopper doesn't win either trifecta, the "Double Crown" Votto is chasing would still land him in some cool company.

It isn't all that rare for a player to win two legs of the Triple Crown. But it's exceptionally rare for a guy to win the two legs Votto has the best shot at -- homers and batting average -- in the same season.

Barry Bonds never did it. Willie Mays never did it. Stan Musial never did it. Not in the same year, anyway. In fact, only three men ever did: Ted Williams in 1941, Johnny Mize in 1939 and Babe Ruth in 1924. Good group. Historic group. And Votto is in excellent position to join them. We'll keep you posted.

Its not fair to compare. Votto is twice the player Bonds, Mays, Musial and Williams ever were...;)


Pujols is heating up, should be a good 2 month race for the MVP.

Votto is rollin (not Rolen)....but there is a long way to go for that stuff. The RBI is going to be the toughest one IMO.

Regardless of the case.....Votto can't afford to even think about that stuff. Hit .320 with 39 HR and 115 RBI and see what happens


I think Pujols is going to make a big statistical move the next few weeks.
