While it may not sound "major" to many, I am still asking for prayers. My 5 year old son is going to have to have surgery next Tuesday. He is having tubes put in his ears, and having his tonsils and adenoids removed. This is the first kind of any hospitalization he has had, and I am quiet nerveous. Keep lil coyotes in your prayers please!!!!

Having had my tonsils removed I can say that it was definitely worth it. I used to get strep throat really bad but now I almost never get sore throats. Hope everything goes well. He will appreciate it later.

See, I never had mine removed. I guess that is why I am so nerveous. I guess I may need the prayers more than him!!! :)

My son had this done at 1 1/2 and was discharged less than 2 hours later.

Was at Three Gables Surgery Center in Proctorville, Ohio.

They told us 4 hours. Which is fine with me. As long as he is good when they say we can go.

How long did your son take to fully heal up? They told us our son would be out of school 10 days.

Sendin' some prayers your way lil' buddy! It is nerve racking..we went through the same thing with our lil' man just last year..you have nothing to worry about. It was cake. Over before you know it..and Cody was pain free. He enjoyed all the popsicles though.

He wasn't fully healed but was back near himself after 2 weeks.

The first week he was pretty slow going and not interested in doing much of anything.

We didn't have the tonsils and adenoids done, but did have ear tubes and while it was utterly nerve wracking that he was under anesthesia, it was gravy. I will keep your little one in my prayers for a great outcome and a relief from sickness.
