Anyone else interested in this show coming out this fall?

Seems interesting...even only if it is to see what "The Event" is.

Anyone have a clue what the show is really about? I haven't searched anything on it...but figure someone on here will have a clue.

I predict it will be painfully frustrating to watch. They probably won't reveal "the event" until the season finale. Strikes me as a rather cheap ploy to substitute for good writing. We'll see....I'll tune in because there's just a general lack of good programming out there right now.

Hollywood Insider is reporting the actual "event" takes place at the end of the first episode pilot which debuts 9/20. However the plot is "non-linear" which means it will jump all over the place like LOST did. Could be good or could suck like Heroes did.

Saw it has something to do with an assassination. Hope they don't ruin it like Flashforward. Promising idea that died.

I thought I saw something about "let us go...we will not harm you" or something like that. Made me think it's aliens that crash land or something and get rounded up. Being centered around an assassination just seems kind of weak, but it wouldn't have to be mutually exclusive of my other impression.

Anyone else watch the premier last night?

What did everyone think?

So...what is the event?

My wife and I were pretty confused throughout....although we did enjoy it and look forward to next weeks show.

Are they aliens? Supernaturals with powers (XMEN?) Are they gods? Or is it something like The Cube where the earth is actually a box in someone's hand and that person saved the president? We are clueless!

I'm remember a Twilight Zone where the people you thought were "us" were really aliens on another planet and the "aliens" were from earth trying to colonize their planet. I got that same vibe last night.

I enjoyed it, and am looking forward to the next episode....I get the same feel from this show last Flashforward, but I'm more interested in where this one is going in comparison to Flashforward.

It seems a little bit like Lost, which I think is pretty much GOAT.
