Its been years since I was in college....but my translation is this.....
regular old dude is hammered on his birthday....
sees his girlfriend flirting with some football players...
regular dude puts on his beer muscles to defend his territory. He starts acting like a shit...
push here push there and one of the football player puts him down with one punch....
regular dude decides he needs to go to hospital....
police are called, a report is filed...
a hungover dude decides he deserved it and drops charges

Anyone remember when Channel Six in Columbus reported that John Cooper's son had been picked up for DUI? Turns out to have been a different person with the same name. Wonder how much coin came out of THAT one?

Just my 2 cents.

I've never personally had a problem with Nathan, we were always cool. With that said, he's just not a very bright kid. I'm not trying to be mean or anything, but some people just aren't very intelligent. He's been groomed to play football since he was a kid. You'd think he would know by now that everything he does is under a microscope, any small screw up will be blown up. Hopefully he gets his shit together before it's too late.

Sounds like someone was throwing their names out there when the story got out to make a couple guys look bad. Now it appears that they didnt have anything to do with it at all.

Actually, that was Ch. 4, too. Seems like they have a pattern of these mistakes.

leave no grey area.

any misdemeanor or felony charges = no playing until you're found innocent or the charges dropped and you lose eligibility for the duration of the process.

any misdemeanor convictions, or felony convictions = automatically banned for life.

if a kid knew that he/she would have to wait potentially a year for a trial before being able to play again (and that any time lost can't be made up), they'd think harder about doing dumb shit. and if they did the dumb shit anyway, they deserve to have the book thrown at them.
It seems you don't know how our justice system works. Innocent until proven guilty. Also, a person is not "found innocent" at all.

It would be stupid to "throw the book" at someone for something so minor. Getting in a fight happens to good kids and bad kids alike in college. I know kids who are in med school at Georgetown, Law schools like Virginia, Vanderbilt , Cornell, Harvard, people who got jobs pulling down 6 figures out of college in ibanking, or consulting in New York and Boston who have all been in fights or done dumb shit in college. They all were good kids that got in a bad situation and things escalated. It takes two to fight, normal people don't just start beating on people unprovoked. Also, some times the person that starts the fight definitely isn't the one to finish it. If someone throws a punch at you, you're going to fight back.

And let's stop pretending we know all the details about this story. I doubt what the kid told the cops is 100% accurate.

The majority of the haters on here are jealous, short, slight, slow, below average athletically, anti-fraternity wannabes who would all have given their left nuts to be hanging with Storm and Nathan.

College athletes of note ALL have a HUGE target on their backs that drunk teenagers take shots at in hopes of pissing them off so they have an embellished story to tell their grandchildren.

Perhaps a mod should consider changing the title of this thread since it's wrong. Nobody has been charged with anything.

I was actually at this party for a while saturday night. I believe it was on Frat Row. My friends and I had left about 20mins before it happened (thank god). We went to another party on frat row, they had a balcony. When I had left, I saw nothing but police cars and an ambulance or two. I went across the street asking people what was going on and they said Storm Klein had knocked somebody out.

I know you guys won't believe me but, it's true.

Yea, what is an "anti-fraternity wannabe"? I know what anti-fraternity would mean, but what does it mean when wannabe is added? Big Gain should have stuck to just calling everyone a neophyte or ignorant.

IMO it's someone who is anti-frat due to the fact that either they weren't rushed,or didn't get into the fraternity of their choice (ergo "wannabe")....that's what my take on the comment was anyway...answer your question??

Not a wannabe just due to a fraternity shortcoming or disappointment. Too slow, too short, not strong, not very athletic, not one of THE athletes .....thus hating or jealous of those who are

my fraternity was $75/quarter and all of our parties were open and you didn't have to pay for a cup or beer. We were the true meaning of "social fraternity". There would be tons of random nights at the house where random people were there just hangin out with everyone.
