Couldn't disagree more with the protected comment. I think its more to the opposite then the other way around. If they were protected, do you really believe we would even hear about much of the stuff we do through media? Players are often targets when out and about. There is always a moron who thinks he is a bad ass and tries to start something. Moeller is a prime example of this.
The issue likes within the players then making a choice to walk away, or not. Unfortunately, most of the time, their egos won't let them do the smart thing.
I am not sticking up for them at all, believe me. These things make me ill. But again, they are not surprising. Even at my age, I can remember being in college, and rarely remember being at one where a fight did NOT break out. But when its an OSU athlete, its makes the headlines quickly. As it should, as they should and are held to a higher standard.
I have confidence Tressel will do what he should do.
