people think this is a great surface to have, but you can see by the article how many problems you can have with it if it's not installed properly.

Kind of stinks for the Johnstown kids and the people who fronted the money for the original field. Here's to hoping they get it resolved and get the field done in time for their opener

I believe Ashland had issues with their field in 2006 or 2007. Pick Central played there in the state semifinals in '06 and the field had low spots, soft spots, and areas where water (despite dry weather) would come up through the turf.

Turf was horrible last year for the Regional Final between Ridgewood and Fredericktown.

I never said I was the smartest person around, but why would you hire a company out of LA to do excavating and drainage work in Ohio? How has there "drainage" systems been working?

I hope everything works out and the field is ready for week 1.

I was actually hoping it wasn't ready for the season and the Johnnies might have to visit Utica again this year!! :D

I'm just kidding. Johnstown's stadium is a great atmosphere and I hope they can get this resolved at least by the start of MBC play, if not by week 1. Always look forward to the short drive down 62 to see what has become a really great conference game over the last few seasons.
