Obviously Clarett is not going to be playing football for OSU. However, what strikes me is that he is able to get into OSU in the first place. I have had several family members and friends who were not able to get into OSU right away, they had to to go to a branch college first or Columbus State. These were good kids who actually were very good students in high school and had a decent ACT score. It's a shame a thug like Maurice seems to get in and they could not.

He won't be teaching in Ohio if ODE has anything to do with it.

You can't get a teaching license with a felony on your record.

good luck to Mo Clarett, but Little Danny raises a good question--I wonder what criteria he had to meet to get back into OSU...

Please don't compare Saine and Herron to McFadden and Jones.

If he truly has his life together, I can see him working with at-risk kids, and making good money with speaking engagements.

He was, if anything, a transfer student since he took college credit courses in prison, and OSU accepts a large majority of them.

I am not exactly sure how it works but I believe OSU has a program where varsity athetetes are able to come back an enroll in school if they didnt finish their degrees and I think he is falling under this clause. Turning a guy like Mo C's life around seems to be the kind of thing that really motivates JT, so I think he will take this as a challenge.

The guy's over on OSU scout site have said for a couple of years that Maurice would be welcomed back into the OSU family and if you didn't think so you don't know anything about JT. I guess they were right.

Either way, he's not taking away a precious unearned spot from one of Little Danny's family or friends.

I hope he turns around his life too. Running into him on campus would be kinda cool.

He's not. He's saying that having two backs toting the ball can be successful (unlike a 2-QB system) and gave Brown/Williams, McFadden/Jones as examples.

He clearly missed my point then. People claim OSU's backfield is stacked, and I said it wasn't, proof being that OSU doesn't have a #1 guy.

Arkansas and Auburn, which were used as examples, had two #1 guys.

I also never made the claim that OSU can't win without a #1 guy. I think they are just fine, especially when you factor in Pryor running the ball. OSU will be a top team this year, but would be even better with a true #1.

He paid the price Society established as his punishment...now if he can continue to live within the guidelines Society demands he should be given the opportunity to do so without hassle. Good luck Mo, you still own the distinction of making arguably the greatest play in OSU history when you chased the "U" player down from behind and stripped the ball and recovered it.

It's a tough call, but MoC was a beast as a freshman. I could only imagine what he would have done if OSU had him for 2 or 3 more years.

Thanks for that video! People forget how beastly Clarett really was. Some of those runs are just insane with his combination of quick feet/speed/power.

No doubt in my mind that he was better than Beanie, and probably even Eddie. He carried that OSU team on his back for most of the year.

MoC is one of my favorite buckeyes of all time. Dude was a monster. Glad he made it through this chapter in his life and I'm glad OSU let him back in.

On a side note, Rae Carruth is considering enrolling at the University of Colorado to finish up.

He is in the school of education and human ecology. Doesn't mean hes going into education. Most people who do not get into the fisher college of business go to this college because they have a major of consumer and family finances, which is what i heard he is majoring in on 97.1 the fan this morning.

Also, transferring into Ohio State is pretty easy to do.

All you need is a 2.0+ and 45+ hour of quarter credits.

I graduated 122 out of 144 with a 1.12 GPA. Clearly, not good enough to get into OSU out of high school. After a 2 year stint in Montana (Really, only one, since my freshman year all I did was party), I transferred in, and my transcript was a joke.

I'll graduate in a year, and it will be the biggest heist/sham in academic history.

Clarett's best play at OSU was when he turned into a defender for a few moments versus Miami.

Herron broke all of Clarett's records at Warren Harding, though. Then, he broke Clarett's record for games played at OSU and semesters on the B10 All-Academic team.
