Typically, it goes:
(Insert story about the Bengals, Browns, or Ravens) then the Steeler reaction: LOL YEAH RITE LIKE THEYLL STILL BE ANY BETTER THAN HOW BETTER THE STEELERS ARE. HERES MY ESPN THE COVER MAGAZINE PICTURE FROM TWO YEARS AGO. ITS ALL THE SAME DEFENSIVE PLAYERS AND NOW THEIR HEALTHY AND WONT GET HURT AGAIN. PALAMALLU PLAYED IN FIVE GAMES AFTER HURTING HIS KNEE BUT I BET HE WILL PLAY GREAT AND SHUT DOWN THE BUNGLES LOL!!!!!!!!!111 AND THE RAVENS AND BROWNHIES!!!!!!
Retards. Your picture doesn't prove shit except that the team was good two years ago. Now you guys suck, no one gives a fuck about your defense, you were still swept by the Bungles and even lost a game to the Browns. On top of that, your douchebag QB is too concerned with raping girls and you were shopping him around at the draft while the team was throwing him under the bus.
A "majority"? Based on what? One Steeler fan? Shit.
Anyways, the points about T.O. and his past "behavior" are worth mentioning. If things work out and he doesn't go all "initials" on everybody then I think it's a great move. The guy can still play. This is one of those high risk, high reward signings. It will be interesting to see how it plays out.
Also, while I can appreciate the enthusiasm of the Bengal fans....remember that this is the NFL and teams can and do go from the penthouse to the shithouse rather quickly. Chalking up a repeat AFC North championship in July is about as silly as posting a pic of a defense from 2 years ago. The Ravens improved quite a bit and are considered by some to be a Super Bowl favorite. And I think the Steelers COULD be a factor in the division this year IF key players remain healthy and they weather the storm while Ben is out. The Bengals have a decent shot at repeating. Is it a lock? Fuck no.....and that's basically what a few of you said.
I mean, if the Steelers winning 2 of the last 5 Super Bowls means dick than what happened last year doesn't mean a whole lot either IMO. New year, new teams, new happenings.
I don't have a problem with the Bengals or Ravens being the faves in the North. I just don't think it's a foregone conclusion and I don't think it's wise to write off the Steelers either. JMO
