I pray that BIG RED forgoes the extra-point attempst and just goes for two everytime...
Why don't they do this, always??? They have just as good a chance of converting for two as they do kicking for one (Maybe have even better chance getting two)...
And if they do kick, they need to tell Pierro to not worry about changing his shoe and instead stay right on the field, take a few practice strokes...rushing him off and on the field to change shoes then kick w/ time running down is not helping our extra-points....neither is the change in shoes, obviously.

We never discuss football but the place you were most likely to be found on JJ was Mooney and Big Red threads....What kept you coming back????mlisi39 wrote:I know, but I figured I would stay in spirit of the Steubenville folks that NEVER actually talk any football nor discuss any players on the team.YTOWN wrote:Karrington Griffin and Clarence Scott didn't play against Poland. Thanks ZalKath, I just try to give my thoughts and leave it at that. Your right, I do want Mooney to win, not the Big Red and hopefully it will be an injury free game. GO CARDS

Just don't do any favors with your crazy predictions, September...ie Macon will have 5-8 seconds to pass, etc....

3 out of the 4 of Big Reds toughest games were cold damp nights with rain.
I think that Macon threw and his receiver's played better in the rain vs.. (Massillon, Poland, Inkster).
So Big Red can pass in the wet weather, WTH!!
Who we kidding BOTH these teams can; run well, block well, throw the ball, have great team speed, hit hard, have EXECELLANT coaching, with kids who have played very tough teams in the regular season.
YOU DON'T GET TO THE STATE SEMI-FINALS in OHIO, if you are not a good team!!!!
IT was said earlier, "WHICHEVER TEAM WANTS IT MORE WILL WIN".
And Big Red needs to play with the attitude they played with in the Massillon game for them to have a chance of winning.jmho.
Macon can't throw the ball 150 mph, but his receiver's also MUST catch the pass, even after they get rocked by a MOONEY defender. We all know that Mooney is one of the most physical teams in the state. And have ample speed to neutralize Big Red's speed.
Big Red must EXECUTE their game plan, and RENO must bring a great game plan.
This is the State Championship in D3, in Ohio. I believe that, least amount of mistakes, execution, and physical play will decide this game. NO STRIPPING on the 4 yard line for BR, thats what it will take to win, NO MISTAKES, imo.
So please, quit acting like each fanbase, doesn't know what I just said, or don't what their in for...
Good luck both teams, NO INJURIES. and lets have a good old fashion war friday night. These KIDS are great, and should be acknowledged for what they have accommplished and will, I don't see any loser's out on the feild at this level.
Hell, I don't see any loser's at any level.
