this team sure is fun to watch right now,and it looks like the Tribe has an excellent nucleus of young,hungry players to build around...now,if only we could land an ace to anchor a young pitching staff,and unload Hafner....

'Land' an ace??? We had TWO aces and we wouldn't pay to keep them. The correct term you want to use is 'develop'...because that's the only way we are going to get an 'ACE".

Speaking of pitchers, when does the Tribe expect Alex White to be ready for the bigs? Are they projecting he might get a call-up a year from now at all a possibility?

sure we need to develop an ace,but I believe we'll also acquire one..the two aces we let go are one of the resaons we have this young talent to build around---ya' gotta' be optimistic,brother !!!!

I can't see any team in their right mind taking on that contract with his production levels.

Another bad thing with having to deal with Hafners huge contract for another year is that its taking up at bats for another young up and coming guy who could be getting major league at bats now or next year. Next year we will have an all young lineup and that Hafner guy. Ever since Buerlhe smashed Hafner in the head with a fastball, that was the end of him.
