Rollins is also due, but still, Bray was pitching well.

Guys, I'm not a Dusty hater...but THIS was on him. Rollins has ALWAYS been a better hitter lefty...and Bray was rolling.

The Reds have 73 remaining games, 26 against teams over .500 and 6 against St. Louis.
The Cards have 75 remaining games, 30 against teams over .500 and 6 against Cincinnati.

The world isn't ending for Cincinnati, but this is a HUGE series. I'm more worried about how they respond after the break. They have a huge home stand and a stretch of games against bad teams. St. Louis has a very tough rest of July on the other hand.

2010 .350 vs. lefties, .225 vs. righties
career .282 vs. lefties, .271 vs. righties

Bray had already thrown 24 pitches, but Rollins was 0/4 vs a lefty till then tonight.

I wouldn't say that RBIs aren't a good stat, I would just say that it is more of a team stat. I agree with Mooney to some extent. Unless you hit home runs every time you are up, you are at the mercy of the guys ahead of you getting on base.
