BINGO!!! Ask the Yankees how long it too to win after they built their dream team of stars. Sorry Lebron if you go to Miami your star will shrink cause you can't do it on your own.

But those guys were not one man shows either. Larry Bird had the Big 3 which included himself, McHale and Parrish and Magic had Kareem and Worthy. Jordon to a lesser extent had just Pippen but you had other significant role players over the years like Kukoc, Dennis Rodman, Horace Grant, etc.

Come on, you're not that ignorant, are you? Baseball is completely different than basketball. Miami would be guaranteed a championship with Lebron, Wade, and Bosh. They can fill the rest of the roster with mediocre players for the MLE, it's not like they'll only have 5 guys on their roster.

In baseball, you can have an entire field of all stars, but if your pitching staff blows, you have no chance (hence, Yankees struggles after getting A-Rod, it took until they got CC to win).

Yeah but Bird and Magic are transcendental players, that's why everyone remembers them as leading those teams. With 2 transcendental players on the same team (Lebron and Wade), Lebron's legacy takes a lot bigger hit than Wade since Wade has already won a championship there.

The Big 3 in Miami could probably play half the league 3 on 5 and still win 90% of the time. Heck, look at how many games Cleveland has won over the past few years with Lebron doing all the work and the other four standing around and watching. They only need the other guys to fill out the roster for when they play the Lakers, Celtics, Magic, etc. HAHA

I'll do what all the Kobe haters do... But Wade couldn't win a title without Shaq. (Note I'm not a Wade hater).

Miami or Chicago gives Lebron best chance to win. If I was Lebron I'd probably go to Miami.

Miami Beach with Wade and Bosh; or Lake Erie with Mo Williams and Jamison.

Really surprised that anyone thinks this is a tough decision.

it's a tough decision in that he's from cleveland/akron and he's gonne be labeled a pussy/punk/failure/baby/taking the easy way out if he leaves...this isn't a 100k job out of the state, this is pro sports. He can live in south beach for half the year anyway, and the other half you're traveling most days anyway, so I don't get the location thing. the only thing the heat have is two superstars. does bron wanna be 1 of 3 or be the 1 of 1? it's not as easy as you make it sound man.

Imagine being hated in your hometown. Imagine the people that supported you since you were 15 turning their back on you. I dont care what people say.......home is home. Lebron could have lived ANYWHERE in the offseason over the past 7 years.......he chose to live in Akron,Ohio. People can say what they want but Lebron likes NE, Ohio and now he will be treated like a villian in his hometown. I know he will have millions and he will get over it but I honestly think that those things matter to him.

If he's going to be gutless and kick the city in the teeth on national TV, he obviously doesn't care (see flaunting of Yankees hat, standing on Cowboys sidelines rooting for them at CBS).

He's not winning any championships as the 1 of 1. The league is just too top heavy.

How has he been gutless? I would argue that he's doing the opposite by going on TV and explaining his decision.

You really think that going on National TV to annouce to the world that you're going to rip the heart out of your hometown fans isnt a gutless move? Actions speak louder than words. People act as if the Cavs have been the Timberwolves since Lebron arrived. They have been one of the top 4 teams in the NBA over the past 4 years. They made it to the finals with a below average team. Cavs arent as far away as alot of people would like to think. Alot of people that know NBA basketball better than anybody on this board had them winning the whole thing last year. I dont understand how people can think they are that far away.

Give me a break. No need for the hoopla if he's leaving to rub it in the cities face. Let your publicist or whoever announce it and move on. No need for the dog & pony show to kick a city that is already down.

No it's not. If you don't think the Cavs had a championship worthy roster last year before Lebron stopped trying then you know nothing about basketball. They steamrolled through the regular season and would have beaten the Celtics if Lebron hadn't given up.

The Cavs have just as much shot as anyone winning the championship next year if Lebron stays, especially with an offensively competent coach.

that's not a guarantee. Boston is old, who do the knicks have? it looks like realistically he just has to get through miami...who does miami have besides bosh and wade? seriously... it's not as impossible as you make it sound. They get a decent point guard/shooting guard and they r good to go.

They are further away than last year. Orlando is just as good. Boston is just as good and may add Jermain O'Neal. Miami is better. Chicago is better. New York will still make some moves. Oklahoma City is improving. And the Lakers are still the Lakers.

All of those teams got better this offseason, while the Cavs didn't do squat. And they don't have the flexibility to make a dramatic move.

Yeah, because Kobe needed a 1 hour program to announce he re-signed with the Lakers and Jordan needed a show to announce his return to basketball. Go away, clown.

Is the offseason over yet? How do you know that the Cavs get any better? Because the FA period started a week ago? Come on man

Chicago was beaten by the Cavs last year. they added boozer...still don't think they're beating the Cavs with Bron. New York "making moves" doesn't scare me. Boston is not just as good, they're a year older. Until they add J Oneal you can't say they're just as good. Orlando is beatable.
