I hope you're right and Stoops ends up in South Bend, in fact I think he will end up as the next HC. I heard on the radio last week that the Houston HC was asking permission to talk to Oklahoma.........where's there's smoke.........??????? I still think they have to at least inquire if Meyer has any interest.

BTW, I didn't catch the Stoops chants but I did catch a few marshmallows.;)

thats interesting that the fans you talked to thought kelly would be the next head coach.

i would love it. i personally would rather have him then stoops.

"I am not going to be Alabama's head coach."
-Nick Saban

Not saying he'll go to Notre Dame (I highly, highly doubt he ever goes there), but coaches say a lot of things.

I'd take Kelly as the HC but he's not a proven commodity like Meyer or Stoops.

i agree, however, i believe kelly is the *next* hot commodity.

very similar to meyer, which unfortunately, i believe we have no chance of landing.

How about the fact that the odds went from 20/1 to 12/1 (thank God I got my fifty in then) to 10/1 to off the board on Stoops. "So much money is being bet it seems like someone knows something". well, hmm, that's funny... I'll just laugh as I don't have to dig into my pocket to buy next semesters books. Bob Stoops will already be paying off

It's no secret the folks at Oklahoma are getting disillusioned with Stoops. They've had an even worse BCS bowl record than Ohio State -- for a longer period of time. I can easily see them not caring if Stoops is wooed to Notre Dame.

Kelly isn't a fit for Notre Dame, in my view. He'll want to recruit kids that simply won't be able to get admitted to the university, and I don't see them making that many exceptions (to their academics) to get him to come.
