Me give shit. About history. And me want know who. Greek God "Recrutis" is. Me want win.
That is damn near brilliant. Funniest thing I've read in awhile.

If you're so certain do you want to give me better odds than the 12/1 I've already bet on?

I think ND proved this season that there isn't too many easy wins on their schedule. Not a knock on them, just that teams play well against them.

What makes you think your source is more reliable than the person with 200k invested in the University?

Relax, I'm just fucking with all of these guys citing their "sources". I don't care if Stoops goes to ND. I wouldn't for the life of me understand why he would do it, but good for him if he goes. I don't want Notre Dame to suck forever. It is good for the game when they are a good team.

Why go with Stoops? Seriously, he is the worst BCS bowl game coach.

I havnt read this all but here's my 2 cents:

1)-Can ND be considered the "Graveyard of coaching" of the modern era, or do they just expect too much every year.

2) I think they need a be in conference, they need some bunny games every year that comes from being in a conference. ND's current schedule was tuff imo, and Weis was competetive in his losses. They need some size on the D-line.

im a BUCKEYE fan. for what it's worth

I have to wonder which coaches would be interested in the ND job. I have to believe that Notre Dame has lost its shine as far as coaches are concerned. I doubt if any of the coaches mentioned in this thread would take the job because it would be a step down. Why would Stoops take it? He's very secure at Oklahoma. His team has just been to the national championship game. Why would he think he could get that far at ND? One name that has been thrown around a lot is Brian Kelly at Cincinnati. He has been able to take UC to a top 5 ranking. He may leave eventually if someone throws enough money at him, but I don't think it will be ND.

Notre Dame has the most impatient fans in the country. Any good coach is going to think twice about going there.

I know athlete has a credible source and all but I believe ND will make a call to Gainsville first. It's imperative that ND lands a "star" HC this time around, a proven commodity.

BTW, I was in South Bend this past weekend and the consensus thinks Brian Kelly is the next coach. We will see.

he'd be a great choice, but he won't be able to get the kids he's used to coaching into ND--will this influence his decision???

Not sure if Brian Kelly is the right fit for the Notre Dame job...but we'll see. He is a proven winner.

Again, can't see Brian Kelly taking the job. Too good of a situation @ Cincy and they're getting him the facilities he asked for.

And great movie, btw. Wouldn't put it #1, as most do, but i just got to see it on the big screen at the Michigan Theater in Ann Arbor, and it was quite the experience. Definitely beats watching it at home.

By consensus do you mean the student body chanting Stoops during the 1812 overature and making and "S" with their hands?

^^^^No need to get defensive my friend. I spoke to many people up there, students included, everyone thinks Kelly is the man. I hope you're right and Stoops ends up in South Bend, in fact I think he will end up as the next HC. I heard on the radio last week that the Houston HC was asking permission to talk to Oklahoma.........where's there's smoke.........??????? I still think they have to at least inquire if Meyer has any interest.

BTW, I didn't catch the Stoops chants but I did catch a few marshmallows.;)

Agreed, it definitely wouldn't hurt to approach Meyer, just in case.
