This would be pretty cool, be able to stream the tv shows that I missed on the big screen.... Hopefully Sony will package it with there new premium service launching this coming week!!!!

Cool. That'll give people a reason to get a PS3 since it has no games.

Has just as many quality games as the 360, if not more. This isn't 2007.

I own wii, ps3 and 360 and the ps3 is the top of all of them. better features better games better system. The 360 even the new slim is still not that more advanced then the orignal xbox. The PS3 on the other hand will be the hands down system to own for the next decade.

It's coming to the 360 first if you're following these rumors and any of them are true.

I love when people make stupid ass comments then try to be funny after you prove a point.

I love when people walk right into trolling opportunities and fail to realize how stupid they look when they argue about it on the internet.

http://i.joystiq.com/2010/06/30/hulu-page-hulu-plus-on-ps3-will-require-playstation-plus/

Much like Hulu Plus on Xbox requires an Xbox Live Gold subscription on top of the $9.99 monthly fee, some language found on the Hulu Plus site says that only PlayStation Plus subscribers will be able to use the service on PS3.

The HTML source for the Hulu Plus "Devices" page includes specific instructions for the PS3, which are presumably meant to be displayed when the service goes live. The instructions describe how to redeem a code in the PlayStation Store to download the client (which means that Hulu isn't planning to release this as a disc-only service like Netflix -- yay!) with the following caveat: "Note: you must be a subscriber of the Playstation Plus Network."

While this seems pretty clear on the surface, the fact remains that neither Hulu nor Sony have intentionally told the public anything. Sony's Patrick Seybold told Joystiq that "We'll have more info on how and when Hulu Plus will be coming to PlayStation 3 soon." It's quite possible that the specifics of the agreement are still being worked out.Tags: Hulu, Hulu-Plus, playstation, Playstation-Plus, ps3, PSN

lol, wait... You're saying I look stupid when your trolling attempt was lame as fuck to begin with?

Don't try to justify that bullshit.

Hulu Plus Streams Its Way to the PS3
http://blog.us.playstation.com/2010/07/14/hulu-plus-streams-its-way-to-the-ps3/

Continuing our goal to provide the most content-rich entertainment platform in the living room to the PlayStation community, I’m excited to announce that beginning today, the preview of Hulu Plus is available on the PlayStation 3 in the U.S., the first and only console with dedicated gaming functionality that will offer Hulu Plus this year.

If you don’t know, Hulu Plus is Hulu’s new subscription service offering full current season runs of hit TV programs from ABC, FOX and NBC, adding even more premium video content to the more than 23,000 movies and TV episodes already available on the PlayStation Store.

So how do you get Hulu Plus? Well, starting today, a select group of PlayStation Plus subscribers can gain access to a preview version of Hulu Plus. All PlayStation Plus subscribers may download the free Hulu Plus application from the PlayStation Store and, within it, request an invitation to the exclusive preview. If you are accepted, you can access Hulu Plus for an additional $9.99 per month (the fee that Hulu is charging for all Hulu Plus subscribers) and start enjoying its library of television shows and movies from nearly 150 leading content companies streamed on demand in HD.

Hulu Plus for PS3

As Hulu Plus becomes generally available in the coming months, all PlayStation 3 users in the United States will be able to download and subscribe to the full Hulu Plus service and it will also be available on wide range of Sony Electronics Internet-connected entertainment devices, including select BRAVIA TVs and Blu-ray Disc players.

Cool....I tried that one day and, obviously, unsuccessfully.

I don't really use the PS3 for game, except on rare occasions. Mostly I got it for the blu-ray (3 years ago when my DVD player crapped out) and for the ability to store movies (would have to upgrade the hard drive) but primarily mp3's to stream thru my stereo. surfing would not be bad if I'd hook up a bluetooth keyboard and someday maybe I will, along with installing Linux.

anxiously awaiting the DVR functionality

If they would make Hulu part of the 49.99 it would be worth but I'm still not going to pay for Hulu plus. You would think they would know the people who made hulu big would leave for another free site.

Exactly^

If Hulu was smart, they'd package this with PSN+ and Xbox Live, not add on another fee..

Of course Netflix can do this, it's an entirely different type of media. Hulu on the other hand? Eh... People who use Hulu primarily will just find another site to watch stuff on.

So what does this actually cost? Is it $9.99 or is it on top of PSN, and what does PSN cost?

If I could save a few bucks, I might drop the cable and DVR all together, assuming it's HD quality.
