Florida at home with Florida International and Alabama hosts UT Chattanooga. Those SEC teams insist upon tough competition.

They wait to the end to do this where as the rest of the nation does it in the begining of the season.

And we hear about it every time OSU plays a New Mexico State, but never when an SEC team plays these games.

Dumb post.

OSU's schedule isn't bad this year..they've played 3 top 11 teams at the time of the game.
But other than those games, yeah it's not been great.

They do this every year.

I am sure they would love to have SEC games every single week.

Come get me after the bowl season. The SEC will be just fine. This is a terrible thread and really shows how little knowledge the poster has about college football. Where have you been the past 3-4 years?

The SEC has got better with OOC scheduling, but up and until a few years ago aside from Florida always playing FSU and Tennessee always scheduling tough opponents, this is a very appropriate thread. For years, Auburn, Georgia (aside from GT, but that wasn't always a good match-up), Ole Miss and even in most years Alabama had absolutely embarassing OOC schedules.

"Where have you been the past 3-4 years? "

LOL and where were you the 15 years before that? For years Auburn and Georgia's OOC scheduling was a joke. Georgia I think went 30 years+ not playing a game north of the Mason-Dixon line.

Oh, looking back at my first post, I didn't realize UT Chatanooga and FIU were tough competition. Sorry. I feel much better now that I have been educated by someone who probably wasn't even born when I started following college football.

Face it, Florida and Alabama scheduled cupcakes today and deserve to be called out on it just like other top teams when they do it.

I'll match up OSU's schedule with Florida's. I am not saying OSU could beat Florida, but I don't' see Florida's schedule as any tougher.

I really think it is silly to whine and complain about the SEC's schedule. If they were going undefeated with this schedule and getting their doors blown off in the bowl game, thats one thing, but they're not. They usually win.

"and getting their doors blown off in the bowl game, thats one thing,"

Like last year against Utah? 31-17 beatdown (and the game wasn't that close watching it) in Bama's back yard? If that was Ohio St. or any other Big 10 team the media would still be yapping about it. Yet Bama gets a free pass by being completely unimpressive this year.

There are teams in the big ten that would probably be in a dogfight with charleston southern or florida international. Seriously, I think the SEC has proved that it is the premier conference in college football in recent years. Every team in the nation schedules its cupcakes and tune up games. And there are plenty of teams in the SEC who do play tough OOC games, in addition to the tough conference slate. Georgia played at Okie State, Bama played VT, etc.

Bama got made fun of plenty for that loss. Lets not forget that that loss is the SEC's only loss in a BCS game since 2005 when UGA lost to WVU. I don't think the Big Ten as a conference has won a BCS game since 2005.

Oh you mean that Utah team that was undefeated and the team that many people considered to be one of the better teams in America?

What isn't there to buy? They smoked a good Alabama team and went 12-0

Who in the Big 10 could have beat Utah/Alabama in that bowl game?

I don't think anyone can really argue Utah was not one of the best teams in the country last year. They proved it, multiple times.

I didn't think that Utah team was that good last season imo. Personal opinion nothing against the other teams.

Just like I don't think Boise State is as good as the other BSU teams.

"Just like I don't think Boise State is as good as the other BSU teams. "

They've proven it on the field at this point. Believe me, I used to argue against their case all the time, but they completely blow out the inferior opponents they face and have some really good wins over the past few years. In fact, they've got three wins over the past three years (Oklahoma and Oregon x2) that are better than any wins Ohio State has over that time period.
