Lakers look to keep home court before heading back to Boston for 3 straight.

If the C's don't come out with the energy they did in the 1st 3 rounds--this one will be just as ugly as game 1.

A few of them looked like they didn't want to be there for most of the game...inexcusable.

Kobe was locked in, unlike the C's who let the situation and the location get the best of them. Expect more of the same Sunday.

Kobe needs to keep doing what he does best for the Lakers to take a 2-0 led in this series.

Nah, the bigs need to keep doing what they're doing. What Kobe does is almost irrelevant because it's expected. Lakers bigs keep it up and this might be 4 games. The bigs are the key to the series.

I thought this would be a good series heading into it, but after game one I am almost expecting a sweep. I know it's hard to make that prediction after one game, and there was no way Boston was going to win game one in LA, but the Lakers just look really good right now.

I'm waiting to see what it looks like when the C's actually play their game. They just went through the motions last night--not that the Lakers didn't play well, but the Celtics had no energy. Bad move on their part, you never want to go down 1-0 but you certainly don't want to get blown out in the 1st game.

Don't forget though, both of these teams have been up and down all post season--next game could be the polar opposite.

I expect LA to win game two. They're tough at home in the playoffs. Three in a row in Boston is when the series could get interesting.

No energy?? They had 5 days off before the Finals. The Lakers just punched them in the mouth all night and C's couldn't handle it. Kobe didn't play that well and neither did Odom or Fisher and the Lakers only got 15 pts from their bench and the C's shot 5 more free throws and STILL lost by 13.

LMFAO...did you watch the game? 5 days is irrelevant--they brought no energy to the floor. Did I say they looked tired?

You're a fucking moron and one of the many on here that make the conversation sub-par. Hilarious that once again you only join into the discussion to respond to me, you fucking douche bag troll.

I would laugh hysterically if the Celtics play a zone. I wouldn't expect anything less from those cowards.
..................................................................

People were tossing around the words "epic" and "great theater" for this series. Sorry, but the Lakers are simply still a head above the league this year. I predicted a sweep, but it may go 5 since the Celtics get 3 at home in a row. Although, they've been awful at home in the regular season and in the post-season, so it's not like they're formidable there or anything.

SQ, c'mon now. LA made them look bad, and you know it. Enough about this lack of energy and/or went in there nonchalantly.

The Celtics have to have game two because no one is beating Kobe three straight anywhere. If the C's lose today, look for Boston to win game three in Boston and the Lakers to bounce back in game 4. Even if the C's manage to win game 5, which is arguable to say the least, no one will beat the Lakers two in a row on their floor. I'm going with LA in 6. Can the Celtics win this series? Yes. Will they? No.

I just hope for a better all around performance than game 1. And after what I watched Thursday night there is no way that cannot be the case. Despite the VERY tight officiating in game 1 we still have to play Celtics basketball and be the aggressors and play physical. That means Rondo needs to drive in the lane and force the Lakers bigs to commit and either try to force contact or kick it out to a open player on the wing. There is a chance that Marquis Daniels can play tonight which is huge in the sense that we can add another defender to Kobe (NO I'm not saying he is going to stop him either) it can keep Ray Allen off of him because honestly fouls 4 & 5 while guarding Kobe were terrible and with Ray only playing 25 minutes due to foul trouble that doesn't work. We needs Ray's spacing & his Basketball IQ on the floor. A win tonight would be huge going home and getting the split. We MUST get to the lose balls and rebound LA killed us in Game 1. Go Boston

Officials for game 2 are: Monty McCutchen, Mike Callahan, and Ken Mauer.

Just tellin' it like I saw it. I'm rooting for the Lakers if I had to pick a team, not trying to discredit them. They played well. But the C's played like the Cavs did for most of that series. Not saying they'll win the series, but it's tough to make an opinion on what the rest of the series will be like when I know the C's didn't play their game. Of course the opponent has something to do with that, but I KNOW the C's can play better than that. You don't really expect every game to be a blow out do you? I think the Lakers are better but not THAT much better, the C's let themselves get destroyed. The fact that Gasol had 14 boards which was the same amount as Garnett, Perkins, Wallace and Davis combined tells the whole story--it's not like he went epic mode and had 30 boards. They had no energy, they played either flat footed or on their heals all game. They haven't done that at all in the postseason, so I would have to expect them to come out differently. Doesn't mean LA can't still win, in fact, I think the opposite. But I know the Celtics can be wayyyyyyyyy more competitive.

They shot 43% and were 1-10 from 3 too. Don't expect to see that in every game or you'll end up shell shocked by them the same way the Cavs were.

LAKERS HAVE AN ANSWER FOR RAJON RONDO.

RONDO MAKES THE CELTICS GO, IF HE IS STOPPED THE C'S LOSE.

It's really that simple. Marquis Daniels.... Jiminy Christmas. I've heard it all now.

OH, MY PROPHECY:

Tighter game than game 1, probably close throughout, until crunch time. Kobe dominates them down the stretch and Ron Artest harvests Pierce's vital organs to sell on e-bay.
