Here's some of the items the NWS will use to try to estimate wind speed.
School buildings: http://www.spc.noaa.gov/efscale/16.html
Most houses: http://www.spc.noaa.gov/efscale/2.html
The Twp. administration building could fall under multiple categories based on its construction
Based on a picture I saw of it intact, it pretty much looks like a 1 story school building would be constructed http://www.spc.noaa.gov/efscale/15.html
Other possibilities:http://www.spc.noaa.gov/efscale/9.html, http://www.spc.noaa.gov/efscale/20.html

Death toll apparently has risen to 7... one of the victims was the father of a valedictorian at Lake HS.

That last one is crazy in my opinion because, well, there aren't many houses near Lake HS. Where did that mattress come from?

Unreal. I tried checking it out this afternoon but 795 was closed from 280 and as far west as Moline. I didn't try but I assume Lemoyne Rd is closed as well?

One of my best friends lives off 795 toward Clay Center and the police had that area blocked off a few hours ago when we dropped him off at his house. His parents were in Lebanon, Ohio last night and he was in a wedding in Ada. Wow, how lucky they were. Two houses down from them are completely gone. I guess his neighbor, who is an emergency room nurse, literally dragged someone out of their own pond when the wind knocked their house into it. Absolutely crazy to think about your house being knocked into your own pond.

just crazy. talked with someone that lives in Millbury and luckily her house was spared. Lake HS is going to have to be completely rebuilt. Looks like students will be sent to Northwood, Genoa, and Eastwood in the fall. Pretty crazy that this all hit about two miles from my house. Pretty sobering...

It looks like there wont be school any time soon there, thats ashame for a school district who already struggles financially and trying to get levies passed. just the school alone is going to be well into the millions to rebuild. Does anyone know if all their schools are one big campus there or how its setup?
It really makes you feel very fortunate to have dodged the bullet when this happens because there is a lot of people with nothing right now. I just wonder how many of those people wont want to come back.

I'm not sure where the elementary schools are at but the middle school is at the same place as the high school is.

Death toll according to the news is 7 in Lake Township. There are still people in critical condition. Hopefully it stays at 7, but could go up. The one mother & young son that were killed, the husband & daughter are in critical condition. The mother worked around the corner from my house in Waterville. I didn't know her. The news said tonight that a sign or something from somebodies house in Milbury with their street address on it landed in someones yard in Marblehead 40 miles away.

Note the images of the tornado prints left in the dirt fields.

Webfire,
That pic is cool because you can see the tracks continuing onto the grassy area.
There's an old pic that was taken during Fujita's study of tornado tracks in a field and it has always fascinated me.
