That was the most nervous I've been watching a Reds game in some time, and that's saying a lot with all the ridiculous games they've had this last decade. That was a huge win, they'll prob lose to Carpenter tomorrow, so going down by 2 games would have been rough. Worst case scenario, they leave St. Louis tied for first.

Nice win for the Reds. I was nervous for the last 2-3 innings. Especially when Massett trotted out there to face the heart of the order. At the end of the day, Cincy is assured of leaving St. Louis in 1st place, that's definitely a positive.

GUTSY win. After the offense showed yesterday that they couldn't keep up with the Cards, today they took every punch the Cards had and turned around and punched them back.......harder. Seriously, between Gomes, Votto, and Rolen....I just get giddy when these guys come to the plate. And there are 5 or 6 other guys that come up huge on a regular basis too!
1st place alone again. I love it.
Just keep it close tomorrow until we can get to their bullpen. Then we should have a chance.

Let's say the Cards get the W tomorrow.
We would leave St. Louis, tied for 1st, heading to Washington. Granted the Nats are playing pretty well, that is a series we can win. The Cards have the Brew Crew coming into town. After the weekend, we should remain atop the Central IMO.
