Rep. Joe Sestak's allegation that the White House offered him a job to drop out of the Pennsylvania Senate primary race against Arlen Specter is a crime that could lead to the impeachment of Obama. Felony for tampering with a federal elected laws …… Public Servant impeachment

I'm glad I declare early my feeling about Obama and the Office of the President ....

Watching Obama's press conference yesterday, I was just waiting for him to say "I am not a crook. You're President is not a crook."

He would only say that if there was a teleprompter malfunction. :D

Depending on how/what/when information comes out on this, Bam has 2 choices...

1. Start interviewing for a new Chief of Staff.

2. Throw Sestak under the bus and concede another Senate seat.

I agree, get rid of Rahm, I was/ am not a fan of that move whatsoever.

I think Sestak loses anyways.

Sorry, but I don't see anything remotely close to an impeachable offense here. After such goodies as Iran-Contra, WMDs and the Plame incident this pales by comparison. It appears to me that the Obama haters are scrambling for some mud, Sean Hannity being the chief scrambler. Using Rove and the toe-sucker/hooker-singer Morris doesn't lend it any credibility whatsoever.

Clinton was the informal go between apparently. Rahm asked Clinton, informally to talk to Sestak.

White House will release more info later today.
So, far looks like no "formal" deal was offered.
which is why i think Sestak didnt come out and name names, it wouldnt have done him any good if nothing was ever "formal".

Ok so that just makes me think that nothing will come of it.
BUT... that sure sheds even more light onto some of the guttersnipes of the administration.

Redstate is aflame right now about this issue in general as they want blood over this, and the fact Bill Clinton is now involved supposedly is just adding to the paranoia there has to have been an impeachable offense commited to warrant slick willy's involvement.

Clinton just had lunch with Obama yesterday and they think the cover-up story was concocted then. They see it as part of a conspiracy to release this at the same time BHO just had his first news conference yesterday in forever as well as before a 3 day weekend so as to hope the public never notices this and it dies in the news cycle.

Some of my favorites for now:
Which just proves the old adage about the tangled web that ensues when lies are put ahead of the truth. I also think that it’s no coincidence that they chose a proven liar to be involved in this. He has so much experience in lying with great sincerity.
Of course.

When all else fails, blame it on the womanizing, disbarred, only elected president to be impeached. After all, will anyone really think less of him?
Clinton is the best they could come up? The man is a proven liar. He was disbarred for lieing! Anybody believe that liar? Anybody? Sestak held off on the details so the WH could get their story straight and they had TWO MONTHS to do it! And Bubba is the answer. These people are not only criminal.. they’re STUPID!

This doesn't make sense cause we all know Clinton only does favors or offers favors for women.:D

I highly doubt it was really that much of a conspiracy, just Rahm asking Clinton to make an informal offer. To that, Rahm should be let go, as this is the latest in a long line of shady stuff he has done.

The irony of Bam and Bill having lunch together yesterday is not lost on me. If that wasn't a "let's get our stories square" lunch, I'll kiss yer ass and give you an hour to pull in a crowd. ;)

So they offered Sestak an unpaid advisory board position? Really?

http://voices.washingtonpost.com/plum-line/2010/05/what_about_the_job_offer.html

So Sestak would really abandon a run for the Senate for an unpaid position? That makes sense

Or did the position merely become "unpaid" recently to avoid the appearance of bribery or mischief?

This at least should get Rahm's resignation, but truly could end up with an impeachment.

This story stinks. It just makes it look even more suspicious. Now they are beginning to heap lies onto this thing. Those lies will need to be covered. Many times even more laws are broken in the cover up.

If this gets out of hand look for Rahm to fall on the sword in the hopes that the vultures will feed on his carcass and forget about the rest.

NO! This is a excape story by all parties Billy, Sestak, Obama, Rahm ...this is just a little water to try an put out the smoke ...and where there smoke there is fire. Someone will get burned for sure.... I only see good thing coming out of this
Public Servant pink slip
Billy ass in a sling and Hillard 2012 support including the failure of broken Demo party
Sestak get pressured and more comes out to protect his career
Rahm get thrown under the bus
Eric Holder is left holding his own balls
Other Demo also get sucked in

Fire or not under all this smoke -- I have to marvel and the lack of network attention to this so far. Perhaps with the Post starting to cover it (and vehemently telling us no crime was committed, of course), that may well start to change.

I'm betting the nets will give it a pass for the holiday weekend and hope it goes away -- even though it won't.

Can you imagine, boys and girls, just how much howling these same networks would be doing if this stunt had happened under a Republican president?

None of us would have working eardrums left.

Anyone who says there isn't a media bias only needs to look at this story. I agree, if this had been Bush, you wouldn't be able to turn the TV on without hearing about it.

Hannity is demanding a grand jury tonight because he is convinced laws were broken according to every legal scholar he has talked to. He wants impeachment, as well as jail time for all of those involved for committing federal crimes. Now that Bill Clinton is involved, a professional liar, he is more convinced than ever this is huge and will be Obama's Watergate taking out multiple top administration officials.

I would normally agree, but if you pick up any news source they are skewering him over his lack of leadership on BP, which if you had to pick one to focus on is a better story as it has the potential to do far far more political damage to him than the Sestak thing.
