I'm just saying Lebron is an attention whore. Love his skills but he's a drama queen when it comes to this shit.

I feel like I'm one of the few who can see things unbiasedly. I'm not the one buying into the Chris Paul talks, or the Varejao being a top 3 big in the NBA, or the Jamison being a good trade.

I can form my own opinions and there are things about each possible team courting Lebron that makes it appealing, and honestly, the only thing in Cleveland that I see being appealing to Lebron is that it's his hometown team. Loyalty is the only thing Gilbert can sell to Lebron. And honestly, it might be enough.

FYI, all season I've been one of the few saying Lebron explores free agency and likely signs somewhere else. And then after they lose in the playoffs everyone on here jumped on that bandwagon. So, don't tell me that ESPN is forming my opinions for me.

Really? There is NO player in the NBA that LOVES their ego massaged more than Lebron. He's loving all of this attention/suspense. He's the center of the NBA universe right now and he's eating it up.

I think they are reporting a bunch of rumors, but I don't have a problem with it. I don't understand how you think they are "trying". They are not going to affect Lebrons decision. Lebron will make his own decision, so I think it's stupid that people think ESPN is trying to pursuade him when they don't have any say in the matter.

Top 3 defensive big man, I think was the quote.

I don't think ESPN is "trying' as much as they are "hoping/praying" that he leaves. ESPN can't influence a players decision. He'll do what he feels is best for HIM, not ESPN.

The article mentions the Warriors and Sixers. I wonder what players the Cavs would make a run at from those teams? There were some Anthony Randolph and Iguodala rumors back near the deadline. I wonder if they are looking in that direction again

Based on what? Seriously, you're making that claim with no basis for it. I follow LeBron at LEAST as much as anyone here--more than pretty much everyone. I don't just defend him to the death, but in this case, I don't see where you're coming from. He's taking advantage of his rights as a free agent. This is a business, he doesn't owe Cleveland anything.

You're seriously dense on this subject. The power of the media is HUGE. Much bigger than you apparently realize. LeBron is going to do what he wants, sure, but they'll try their hardest to not allow him to sign back in Cleveland. Biggest star in a bigger market "sells more papers" for ESPN. It ain't rocket science, they've been trying to do it for a few years now and they just jump from one rumor the next and they ignore Cleveland as much as possible.

I said he had an argument, which is very clear. And his name isn't as big as a few of them so he doesn't get as much credit. But your arguments against him are TERRIBLE.

But anyways, when did I say they'd influence LeBron's decision? You just agreed that they want him out of Cleveland, that's all I've been saying...

If you don't see how much he eats up the attention EVERY time he goes to play at the Garden or manipulates with his words at times then your just not gonna see it. He LOVES the attention and LOVES being able to lead teams on.

I used the analogy awhile back in that he's like the kid you knew in high school who had multiple girlfriends but always had his "go to/ best" girl. He'd lead the other girls on thinking they had a chance but always went back to his best girl. His "best girl" before (Cleveland) may have changed now that he sees she uses too much teeth (isn't as good as he thought she was).

This is absolutely true....Bron loves being talked about and I guarantee he is loving the "recruiting" that is going on now. He has always loved the drama....even in high school.

Got to run to class so I can't find the link right now but I remember hearing a quote to the effect of "I never went to college and experienced the recruiting process." Then I don't want to make up what was said but he said to the effect that this summer will be his recruiting process.

Oh right, he gave that answer to some dumbass reporter. That must mean that he just LOVES it, this is what he lives for.

You guys make it sound like he's in front of a camera on a daily basis hyping the situation up himself. It's a fuckin' business. Just because the scale is bigger doesn't mean this is any different than you looking over 10 job offers and deciding which one you like best...does that make you an attention whore or does it just mean that you're doing your due diligence and using your rights as a "free agent"?

He doesn't owe anything to anyone--you're spinning it into more than it is. This is a major life decision, your own greed wants him to make a decision tomorrow--he doesn't owe you that.

Yeah, this is what I was referring to.

Lebron grew up getting tons of attention....he loves it. It isn't a bad thing....just a fact.

I'm not saying he doesn't like it, you have to almost revel in it to get to where he is because it's going to come to you if you're that big of a star. But like I said, the way you're saying it and the timing of the quote makes it seem like you're saying something more than that.

I don't think there's anyway to prove that Lebron does things for attention, how many statements has he made to the media regarding this situation since the season ended? One? None?

This isn't Brett Farve or Tebow-esque where every 2 seconds we hear about them taking a dump or going on vacation.

In my opinion there is a 98% chance he already knows what he is going to do.Even if he is 100% sure of his decision he is not gonna say nothing.He is going to let this thing play out and immerse himself in it. I honestly think he gets off on the power he feels from it. People grovelling at his feet,people begging and pleading everywhere he goes,the nonstop rumors,all the "what ifs",all the important figure heads involoved in talks, I thinks he drinks it in like a drunk at keg party. A real power trip for the "king", the "chosen one". And don't think he's not looking for attention when he has the hometown media treating him like someone who can do no wrong all these years,.....................and he wears a NY baseball hat out in major public venues. He knows full well what kind of attention that will bring to him. He has the world at his fingertips,and he is enjoying his new found playground. He absolutley LOVES this stuff ! But hey,this is just my opinoin and I could be wrong..............but I'm not.

Just because the media is in a LeBron love fest doesn't mean that LeBron loves the attention.

He stopped free agent talk early in the season, he hasn't even given a major interview lately about free agency.

He is one of the best NBA players in the game right now, two time MVP. Of course the media is going to hype it up, but that doesn't mean that LeBron wants the attention.

Agreed. LBJ has an ego...who can blame him? I don't get the "hey look at me" stuff that people say about Lebron.

I won't argue that he doesn't love the attention, like I said, you pretty much have to love it to be a star of his caliber because like it or not, it's going to come. And it can break you if you don't just roll with it. But some of you make it sound like he's pushing the coverage and hype around this and that is just laughable and honestly, you aren't even worth having a conversation with.
