For me, there's nothing like driving up 77 and seeing the Cleveland skyline. I love it. If I ever lost my job here in Stark County, I'd be looking for one in Cleveland and living right downtown. Season tickets for the Cavs, Indians, and Browns for sure. I already spend atleast 75% of weekends up there anyhow.

the politics or the city?hoops23 wrote:Cleveland was once considered as one of the best cities in America and had a booming population.Cat Food Flambe' wrote: I know I'm a little biased - but I'd put Columbus in the top 12 of cities in America. Bear in mind that this is from a yuppie point of view.
Cleveland doesn't deserve all of the bad press - but it's never going to be Boston or Seattle, either.
It was Boston and Seattle.
Then the economic hardships came and Cleveland (at the time mostly being a factory city) got hit about as hard as any city. The politics have kept it from truly marveling again, but it is getting better.
Downtown is getting a nice makeover and of course, the medical facilities are world famous.
There is so much to do in Cleveland and it really does get a bad rep. I'm there 4 or 5 days a week and I thoroughly enjoy the city and what it has to offer me.
Once the politicians can get their heads out of their asses and try to establish a modern vibe (while keeping the historic culture that keeps the city famous), Cleveland will be back on the rise. However, cutting down on the ridiculous taxes charged to business owners would be a good start.
