DON'T TELL ME THE NBA OFFICIALS ARE NOT TOLD HOW TO OFFICIATE CERTAIN GAMES.... CANT TELL ME DIFFERENT!!! THIS GAME WAS PROOF OF THAT... THAT WAS NO 21 POINT GAME
I'm NOT one to use foul discrepancy as a means to say a game was evenly officiated because that rarely tells the whole story but it's part of it. Boston had 30, the Magic had 24. So that isn't that out of whack. And I didn't watch the game, so I don't know exactly what happened but looking at the box score, it looks like a 21 point game to me. Boston got killed on the boards, the Magic made 52% of their 3's and nearly doubled the amount that Boston made. And Boston only shot 43%. That doesn't happen because of officiating. Just sounds looks like an off night from the C's if you ask me. But again, I didn't watch the game, so I'm not totally sure what happened. But I just generally disagree that the officials have marching orders from the league to make certain things happen. In the game of basketball, it isn't that easy--I feel like it would stand out BIG TIME and it wouldn't even be debatable if they were doing it. People always want to blame the officials for their team playing poorly and they do make bad calls. BUT, they have a tough job--they get one look at full speed and have to make a quick call. And the bad ones just stand out, but they're usually pretty even both ways (USUALLY)--however, they still get a vast majority of the calls right.
