I first saw Savage wrestle in Memphis back in the early 80's (before his run in the WWF). His father Angelo Poffo was running a competitor promotion out of Louisville. In what was the "first invasion" angle- Savage came on TV during Memphis' saturday program raising total chaos and challenging Memphis top face, Jerry Lawler.

Randy Savage is one of the greatest in ring personas of all time. He is probably in the top 5 IMHO.
