I think they should use JJ the right way and speed up the offense. Actually run an offense. Not a 4 man offense where lebron sort of just does his own thing off of it. Playing uptempo would be great for this team.

I also think you'll see a major trade or sign and trade.
I still cannot remember where i heard this, im pretty sure it wasnt windhorst, but i read it somewhere that the cavs would look to Chris Paul as someone they could try to trade for. N.O. is starting to think that Collison can handle the load and for much less money.

Anyway, just wanted to read some opinions on what people think they should do as far as roster moves to they style of play they should go with.

They definitely need to pick up the pace. Z(even though we all love him) and Shaq need to be gone. Mo is useless except in transition and Lebron is the best finisher in the game.

Cap space is a huge problem, but they need to overhaul the roster.

Need to try and package above players to get a PG. Chris Paul could probably be had for a decent package of Cash and Picks.

JJ could be moved in a Sign and Trade with Chris Bosh or A'mare Stoudemire, if not he should stay. Use the MLE on a 2nd Level star.

The problem is...there is no way to get rid of Jamison. When they took him on, it was championship or bust. 28 mil for 2 years...I think.

I still don't see anything from Hickson. He's a terrible defender, and very limited offensively. He's great at dunking when LeBron sets him up all alone under the hoop, but who wouldn't be?

Shaq never should have been brought on to begin with, and he should definitely be gone.

Z has earned the right to stay as long as he wants in my opinion, but he wouldn't be anything more than an 8-10 minute per game player at this point. He could probably be re-signed to a 1 year deal for pretty cheap, so I don't see the harm.

Mo Williams should be traded back to a team like Milwaukee so he can put up decent numbers in the regular season and never have to worry about performing in the playoffs.

I really don't think there is a single indispensable player on the team. Ideally I would like to keep Delonte (although his issues still worry me), and everyone else can go. Varejao will be kept I'm sure, because he's locked up long term and obviously the team likes what he brings.

This team WAS championship or bust. There is no denying that. Shaq is 38, Z is 34, Jameson is soon to be 34, Parker is 34. That's 3 of the teams current starters, as well as the only other true center. The future was really compromised by those additions, and failing to win this year could potentially set the franchise back several seasons in my opinion. It's time for Ferry to earn his money, and he's honestly on his last chance with me this off-season.

Can't remember who was talking to Cowherd today but Colin gave him a minute to say who was staying with there respective teams this offseason, he said Lebron would stay. He also said don't be suprised if the Cavs try to get Ray Allen next year. He claimed that was the main piece they are missing is a pure shooter.

Depending on how this year ends, if Allen is going to play for a cut rate (which he will have to) somewhere he is going to do it in Boston.

Havn't you praised Ferry on several occassions for his moves and stuck up for Brown? It seems he wasn't alone in his bad decision making. Funny what two underachieving post-seasons can bring.

I still like Brown. But he's gotta go. And Ferry fooled us all. I praised Ferry because I overrated the players he brought in.

Mike Brown didn't put players in position to succeed. I'm fine with Ferry, he's done what he could.

Mike Brown was the best defense against Antawn Jamison. He NEVER used his ass correctly. Jamison should work from the block, not from the 3 point line.

If we had a coach who ran a real offense (cough, Phil, cough) we'd be even better than we are now. It's all about putting your players in the best position.

They are going to be stuck with Mo and Jamison.

There were some hot rumors a couple weeks ago from a good Cavs source that Gilbert was going to go balls to the wall to pick up CP3 from NO.

A package that could include Delonte/West/JJ among others (Sebastian, maybe Boobie)

Mo has value, regardless of what anybody says. He's a good shooting point guard whose Game 6 may have helped his value a little bit.

We don't need to trade Antawn imo. But there are teams who would like to have him.

I'm fine with Mo/AJ. Brown must go!!

Side note....Leboob must change too. His break dancing, big ball of powder, posing for/picture taking garbage have go to go. Makes him a bigger ass than his play at times.

Did you mean to type a different player instead of Delonte/West? I would love to get CP, but I don't understand what NO would make a trade like that.

Yes I did lol.

But NO is struggling financially and they know they won't be able to keep CP3 anyway. They have a young star PG in Collison so that makes CP3 expandable.

If Chris Paul was really on the market, there are teams that would trade players NO might actually want in return, I.E real talent.

One thing that boggles my mind about Cleveland fans (and I am a life long one) is how many of the fan base think teams are always going to want our trash in return for their stars.

Listen to sportstalk radio for a few minutes and it is littered with people calling in suggesting we offer our 8th-14th guys on the bench for their stars like some how it is a realistic possibility.

If N.O really needed to trade Chris Paul, do people really believe they would trade him for Cleveland's table scraps (Boobie/Sebastian/Delonte among others)? NBA teams would trade all-stars for him. There would be a bidding war.It just boggles my mind where ideas like this come from.

I get what you are saying about our lower level players and I agree somewhat. The only difference is when teams are desperate to save money, they aren't looking for superstars in return, just decent role players. That's the only way I could see that trade happening.

Exactly. Teams arent always looking at getting equal value back. Often times its about saving money. New Orleans has had fincial issues for years now, I'm not saying it would happen but I think they would be open to the possibility of moving Paul.

Being most of the back tracking so-called Cav fans on here thought this team had a deep bench and this was the year they were going to bring the title home I doubt you will find any responses worth reading from them.
