Spiller is tough. He's going to be huge at the next level. I look for him to have a Percy Harvin type impact as a rookie for whatever team he ends up with.

As long as you're inserting Archie into the conversation, he could've easily won it his sophomore year as well. Might as well give it to him this year too if people are considering Tebow.

Bell or Muncie should have won in '75 over Archie. It's not even really close

I believe OSU went to their FB a majority of the time close to the goal line which took away Archie's TD total. He still carried the team which was a reason he was selected.

Tebow had 317 total yards and 3 total TD's today in just over a half of action

Ingram had 107 rushing yards and 2 TD's in a half of action today.

Gerhart can really make an impact tonight on a national level with another monster game against CAL

I would say the top 3 right now are probably Ingram, McCoy, and Spiller. All 3 have had very good seasons. Tebow definitely hasn't lived up to his last 2 seasons.

Gerhart had 20 rushes for 136 yards and 4TDs in a loss to Cal. Despite the loss, he made a huge statement in my opinion.

Colt McCoy made a big move also...32-41 for 396 yards and 4 TDs.

McCoy jumped into the lead today with his huge performance. 400+ total yards, 78% completion. Against a somewhat decent team unlike Florida and Bama.

Everybody has played bad teams at one point or another in the season. Why is what Florida and Alabama did today discounted, but Texas playing Wyoming gets a pass now?

Why is today any different?

Because its getting later into the year imo and the later performances stay with the voters more I would think. If the voting ended today, I'd rather be playing a BCS conference opponent.

Its basically setting up for a player to make the huge move come Conf. Championship time. McCoy, Tebow, Ingram, and Spiller will all be playing late in the season against good competition.

There isn't any difference scheduling wise correct, but the voters will look at a later performance against a BCS school more closely than a performance against a crappy FIU team.

I actually like the SEC, Bama is my 2nd favorite team.

But wouldn't you, as a Heisman candidate, want to play better competition later in the year? Its only logical that voters remember the latest games in the year? Every team plays cupcakes but I'd much rather get them out of the way but I know with the SEC schedule its hard to do.

This is nothing against any conference, I'd say the same thing if Spiller and Clemson were playing Middle TN this past week instead of Week 1.
