Because this show is often not about performance, but popularity and voting blocks. People have made up their minds a long time ago. It's just about how they come out and vote.

Told a friend last night...Crystal would be awesome to listen to in a sleepy lounge....that type of settting...but It hink Lee has potential and could sell records and sell out bigger venues

Casey going home..btw,Lee was great,but I hated the choir that came out midway thru his last song--very cheesy and distracting.

Crystal and Lee in the finals,with Lee winning by the narrowest margin in AI history

I voted Lee. I will be pissed, he's been my favorite from Day 1, but it always happens. It should be Casey, then Crystal next week and Lee should win....but it never happens like it should.

Lee was far and above better than the other two last night. People will think he's safe, not vote for him and he'll go home (see Chris Daughtry).

Judges are really stumping for Lee....he gets to work with Simon on judges choice, gets the choir (hard to sound bad when you have a choir behind you) and gets the finale spot in the rotation.

AI is a machine and in it to make money from viewers & ticket/album sales, they want Lee...and out of the 3, he's clearly the most marketable.

I don't like how, for judge's pick, EVERY judge didn't get to collaborate on each contestant's songs.

I don't know, I admit I rarely watch this show (I have flipped it on maybe 3 times all season), but I caught the final song last night by Lee. During his performance, I thought "Wow, if this scrub is in the Top 3, I obviously missed nothing this season." Then, the judges about blew a load commending this clown. WTF? Maybe my taste in music sucks, I don't know, but if this guy is a superstar, then the Mets are going to win the World Series this year ...
