Sage has always been big about that headband.

Apparently wearing a headband automatically puts you Darius Miles level and you're stealing SAT scores.

What about Ben Wallace, Rasheed Wallace(pictured above), Rip Hamilton and Rondo? They all have rings. I know you watched the Finals when they won their rings in '04 and '08 for Rondo.

In 04 Rip was NOT the best player in Detroit. And Rondo was definitely not the best player for Boston in 08.

They were cogs in a machine. Pierce is the only won that was the MVP, and honestly, he was just a cog in a championship team. They could have give MVP to Pierce or Ray Allen.

My point is this....

Elite, game changing players, the kinds that leave legacies and you tell your grandkids about.... none of them wore headbands.

Clearly, it's not cut and dry, but I think the correlation I'm pointing to does exist.

The one exception, although I think he was wearing a headband for a different reason than Lebron does. His career also was derailed by injuries.

Again, Paul Pierce, who was by no means an iconic player, is the only one to have worn a head-band. And Bill Walton, but he needed it to keep hair out of his face and not doing it to be a prima dona.

No shit. Neither were the Wallace boys for the Pistons, Hughes, Howard, Mo, Charlie V, Vince and TMac on their All-Star teams, and Stephen Jackson. All players Sage showed. I named players who played big roles on there team winning rings against the Lakers(have to get my shots in while I can. Haha)
