Reviews are whatever.

Market share is much more important.

Look, I'm not trying to have a Mac/PC debate here. I have nothing against Apple. I have nothing against people who own them. I have a PC, but everyone likes their own thing.

They are no more or less user friendly than a PC in my opinion, and are grossly overpriced for what they have to offer.

I love my iPhone also but outside of Toledo, Cleveland, Columbus and Cincinnati, AT&T service SUCKS in Ohio. My MacBook is fine. I've had one major issue with it where my Hard Drive was practically dead for 2 days during my last 2 weeks of Grad School. It is functional and fine but for the price, I could have got a better PC with more hardware and features. My MacBook has never had a functional ethernet port either. I didn't notice it was bad until a few months after I purchased it because I had to configure a new router. Had to drag out the dependable Vista box to do that.

I just speak from personal experience and since having my Mac none of the PC's I have owned (and I have owned a few plus laptops) compete with the Macbook.

The iPod is just by far the best product on the market in terms of price, user friendliness, durability and overall satisfaction. Though the Zune is a very nice product these days too.
lol, couldn't the same be said for their computers?
No, not really. The iPod has some 75% of the MP3 market share. In the Mac v. PC argument, the numbers are opposite.
lol, so mac computers are not user friendly, don't have good durability, and have great overall satisfaction because of market share? I'd love to see some user reviews.
Apple doesn't have a lost cost MAC option so when they do research they compare their average computer to the average PC, which is far cheaper. If you bought a PC, and spent as much money plugging components into it as the cost of a MAC, even MAC users would be raving about PC's. You don't get much computing power for the price with a MAC, all you get is some friends because everyone who has a MAC is cool, so if you buy one you are cool.

I've never seen so much circle jerking with a PC, but with a MAC once you buy one you're part of a community LOL

I fucking hate MACs, if I were to load up 1500 into a laptop then I'd get a PC that would kick the shit out of MAC performance wise. But I love my iPod.

You can be anti-Mac and not anti-Apple because not all Apple users are in a cult but all Mac users are in a cult. Does that not make sense? It's the square is a rectangle but a rectangle is not a square idea. All Mac users are in a cult but not all Apple users are.

I don't get the attitude towards Mac users, even when I had PC's and not a Mac I didn't see what your saying about them!

I mean the price to performance numbers are quite obvious.

I was always pro-PC and wouldn't touch a MAC in college. Got my first teaching gig, got a MAC laptop (all teachers have them here) and I am now flip-flopped. I learned some server stuff and some maintenance stuff with MACS, and they just seemed easier, more user friendly. I'll never go back to PC unless I'm forced. Just a personal preference thing. And I'm gay. Wait.

who cares? you buy what the fuck you want.

I bought my Macbook Air because it was a thin ass computer, and I thought it looked cool. I didn't spend nearly their inital asking price, and didn't give two shits about the competing laptops (I think it was a lenovo at the time? Don't remember).

you buy what you want...people still shell out thousands for a friggin Bimmer or Range Rover and they break down 4 years into owning them.

It isn't something you can really disagree with, it's well documented.

Ha ha since I use one, and have owned PC's and work on a PC I will say it!! Its like this, you saw a movie and say it sucks, so there for I should just take your word for it and not see the movie for myself right?

It's not that, it's this:

Basic Mac vs. Basic PC Laptop: Performance wise the Mac wins, price wise the PC wins

Basic Mac vs. tricked out Laptop: Performance wise PC wins, price wise it's tied.

And I don't get this misconception that they don't break down. 3 of the 4 kids in my house who have Macs have all had repairs done to them in the past year, and I've had my customized HP for almost 4 years now and haven't had a single repair needed, although like I stated earlier I'm starting to have internet issues here and there.

If Mac lowered the price of their basic Macbook to around what the price of a basic PC is, around $500-$600, then I'd definitely consider getting one.

No, it just isn't a matter of opinion. The components you can get for the same price could potentially give you far more computing power and performance, assuming you spend your money correctly.

This. Give me the $1000 the basic MacBook costs and you get twice the PC.

It all comes down to personal decision making. I wouldn't tell anyone not to buy a PC if they want, if they ask me how I like my Mac they will be told I love it and I recommend it.

Understandable. I tell people that I wouldn't waste their money on a Mac. If they want the bang for their buck, they should stick with a PC.
