Anyone know if Apple will be running this deal again this Summer? No, not Apple the poster, Apple the store.

Seems like they run this ad around August-September...but I'm not positive.

I want to get my wife a computer, but if I can get a free iPod with it, I want to hold off.

They usually do something like this for back to school.

Since you are a teacher you'll get a discount by shopping at a Mac store (possibly online, not sure) and might be able to get the free ipod at any time. Only reason I say that is I know someone who bought an iMac using their education discount and they got a free ipod touch and there was no promotion going on for it that I know of.

Last year they started it in June, that's when I got mine.

I believe the last 3-4 years it has gone on from Junish-Augustish.

You should also be able to get a free printer with it too, just have to fill out all the right rebate forms.

Yep, always get the discount when I buy something. Maybe if I mention this site, they'll throw in some tips for hooking up with students.

There are good deals for students on many products. It's their way of making us feel "less screwed".

Dude, one of my "roommates" bought an iPad (iFag), and I don't think a day has passed yet where I haven't made fun of him. He REALLY is in a cult, an Apple cult. It's disturbing.

Buy a MAC, join a cult is what he's agreeing with. Not an iPod. Sure, it's an Apple product, but it's not the same. The iPod is just by far the best product on the market in terms of price, user friendliness, durability and overall satisfaction. Though the Zune is a very nice product these days too.

They pretty much cornered the market when it comes to mp3 players. It is the one thing where they actually are leaps and bounds ahead of everyone else.

The rest of their stuff is nothing special, in my opinion (and definitely not worth the price).

You are either anit-apple or not!! You can slam one of their products but still purchase their other products as that doesn't make you an apple owner? I am claiming most hatred for Apple or ok the Macs are the price. Sorry some of you can't afford them!!

No, not really. The iPod has some 75% of the MP3 market share. In the Mac v. PC argument, the numbers are opposite.

I went into an Apple frenzy 2 years ago. Bought an iPod touch, sold it, bought an iPhone, bought an MacBook. I'm not impressed with my MacBook one bit for it's price tag. My iPhone is now just and iPod touch. The only way I will buy another Mac product is either a) iPhone comes to Verizon or b) buy a new iPod touch.

lol, so mac computers are not user friendly, don't have good durability, and have great overall satisfaction because of market share? I'd love to see some user reviews.
