Lawry's when I go out for steak. Apart from that, I prefer to make my own.

Best steakhouses I've been to are St. Elmo's in Indy and Delmonico's in Vegas. Slight edge to Delmonico's as someone else was paying. :)

I've eaten at all of those listed, plus Smith & Wollensky's, Mortons, Mitchells and Ruth Chris. Ruth Chris is far and away the best. In fact my wife is taking me there tomorrow for my birthday. I can't wait.

Of the chains Ruth's Chris.

But I don't go to a restaurant to eat a steak unless I think that place can't cook anything else. Steak is the safe option for when you don't think you'll like anything else.

Sam's Steaks in the bottom of the Holiday Inn in Phuket, Thailand was the best restaurant steak I've ever had. Winner's Meats in Osgood, OH sells the best steaks I've ever made on my grill.

Texas roadhouse is barely edible. Never had Outbacks and I would vote for Mulligans pub in Canton Ohio or the Diamond Grill in Akron Ohio.

Of the "chains" Longhorn.

But really the chains are not that great compared to real steak houses.

Non chain, The Top for central Ohio. Been to a few chop houses and I thought they were vastly overrated as the one in Cleve sucked but the one in Chicago was awesome.
I was just about to say The Top. The Top is the GOAT, and almost nobody knows where it is or has heard of it.
Top is 5 min from my house. DEF GOAT

Try Encore, not a steak house, but hands down the best restuarant in Toledo now that The Restuarant and Matthews have closed. Basically J Wesley's after a short recess...

Best steak I have had was at Craft Steak in Vegas.

For me, it depends on what cut you're getting.

West Texas - porterhouse
Longhorn - ribeye and other cuts

Not a big fan of chain steaks. Outback is bad, there's no reason to put garlic on a steak, that's blasphemy. Applebee's is just terrible, I mean, TERRIBLE. I will get one at a chain every once in a loooong while, but normally I just settle for ribs when I go to a chain. I'd much rather make my own at home.

Best steak I ever had was at a small place in Aruba, called Madam Jeanette's. It was a top notch filet mignon.

Believe it or not...I actually had a pretty decent steak in Tusky a few weeks ago. I cannot remember the name of the place, but it looked kinda shady..lol....red brick building.

Appelbees steak? Oh lord you need to get out more. Appelbees blows!

Chain. Longhorn is the best

TexasRoadhouse is good Never had a bad one in there

Ruth Chris makes a great steak.

Wanted to hit St Elmos when we went to the Big Ten turny in March but felt alittle underdressed and choose not to.
We went to Mancys last night. It was very good, no complaints.

I gotta correct the spelling of my original post. It's Madame Janette, and if anyone goes to Aruba, I highly recommend it.
