I have to admit, the first move was pretty good and I'm actually excited about the second one after seeing previews.

I'm sure you typed a lot more after that, but at that point anything else you say becomes irrelevant for pulling that line out. :P

I'm not going to judge anyone else for it... I just find the whole Twilight thing stupid, so I'll sit around and drink beer instead.
But you have to admit that of all the things to pull out the "grumpy ol' bastard" routine out on, the caliber of vampires in books/movies probably wouldn't be near the forefront of most peoples' minds.

To me and my wife they are only third to the Bible and the Harry Potter Series. When my wife asked me to read the books after she finished all 4 of them in two weeks...I was like..."Ummm...no thanks...not really interested...not my kind of thing." But I cracked and I am glad that I did! As I said...the books are amazing! The movies on the other hand...the first one doesn't even compare with the book...on two different levels...kind of like the Harry Potter Movies compared to the book...you really can't compare them. However I do like to watch the movies because if gives me a better view of everything in my head when I am reading....no matter how bad the acting is or how far it actually is from the books.

My wife and I have tickets for the 7:45 showing on Sat.....we aren't fans of midnight showings of movies.

The only part that is a little weird is that my wife and her friend that is going with us are making shirts that say TEAM EDWARD...LoL I told her that I wanted a team Jacob shirt and she just about killed me....LoL (no gay inuendo intended).

I can't wait for Sat. though as everyone is saying that this movie is supposed to blow the first one out of the water.

You should divorce your wife for wearing something like that and being 25. Do you think she'll be upset when she sees all the 15 year olds wearing the same thing? LOL
Why would I divorce her for that? That makes no sense...it is all in fun. And no, she won't care when she see the teenie-boppers with the same thing.

I also had my mom buy her a shirt that says "I love boys that sparkle".

The movies seem to come off as a bunch of really, really pretty people that can't act.

I also only saw about 25 minutes of it, so I could be off base.

Don't comment "the movies are probably pretty poor" if you haven't even seen the movie.

I guess if you really want to turn your wife on just throw some glitter on yourself.

My girlfriend loves the series along with the Harry Potter series. She reads a lot of novels (fiction and non-fiction) and is pretty serious about her books, so Twilight must actually be a good series to read.

I haven't read any but did like the first movie. I don't get into it though like a lot of people, it's just entertainment to me.

SOMEONE sure is watching the movie. Son Of Cat Food works at the Movie Tavern in Hilliard, and just got called in to work the bar until 1:30. They have ALREADY sold out theaters for tonight's midnight showing....

Seriously - the first item on his work list is to pre-mix two gallons of Cosmopolitans.

I don't think watching the movies are that bad, since you have to do shitty stuff when you have a g/f. But why as a male would you read a book series geared at teenage girls? Did you read the babysitters club when you were little too? Or the books at the grocery store checkout with Fabio on the cover?

I saw the first movie, but wasn't impressed. I actually work with a 20ish year old guy who is OBSESSED with this series. It was a little creepy in actuality.

My gf bought her tickets on Sunday, I'm surprised it wasn't sold out at least a day ago.

If you ACTUALLY READ THE BOOKs you will REALIZE that they aren't just CHICK BOOKS. Read before you speak!

You aren't off base. I went with a girl I was seeing at the tim eto see the first one. I didn't have a clue what Twilight was about. I thought it was a vampire flick, so it would have all teh cool shit, like killing and ripping people apart.

It failed to deliver and I looked at the chick I was seeing and we both agreed that it was too teenie bopper for us.

Hilarious.

No need to justify your sissiness. ;)

In reality, I've heard the books are way better than the movies. The movies are poorly acted at best. I have no interest in any of it, to each their own.

I haven't read the books and probably never will. I like just about any vampire movie. The best I liked is The Underworld series.

Kate Beckinsale is one sexy ass vampire.

I like the series, I am about 20 pages from finishing the 2nd book, and the wife and I plan on going to see the movie once the crowds die down a bit. The books are way better than the movies but I think that is pretty much always the case.

The girlfriends daughter (17 y.o.) is in love with the Twilight series. Her and mom went to the midnight showing of the movie... Since the first movie came out, all I hear about is "New Moon". The day of the release she was so giddy and wouldn't stop taking about the movie. Now all the sudden teenie boppers are all about vampires... I have NO desire to see any of the movies, No desire to read the books, and NO desire to even hear about "twilight" anymore. Its absolutely annoying.

Well I went and saw the movie Friday with my gf (her second time), and I will say I thought it was pretty good. The effects were really good, the acting was MUCH better than the first movie, and there was more action. It still had a couple cheesy parts, but was pretty minimal compared to the first.
