Paul Pierce is opting out of his contract to..... I Hope to GOD that it is just to re-structure his contract to save cap space ... From a interview I saw earlier he was stating "that they have work to do again next year" .... PP IS the Celtics and should retire a member of the Celtics

This will get some responses. There is talk WITHIN the Heat organization about a new coach if they happen to land the trio. It isn't Pat Riley or Spo-- it's Coach K. Pat is hesitant to get back to coaching, but knows of one guy that had lead all of those guys to the promise land. It's in the early stages because NOTHING has happened. But if they sign, Coach K may follow.

I don't even think Pat needs to come down with those 3. Spo wouldn't have to do much except call timeouts.

He's actually a pretty damn good coach. Just isn't mature enough to know how to deal with Beasley. He's sorta like Mike Brown. Great defensive coach, has his team overachieve, but ends up being labeled as a bum.

If you are going to commit 300mil to 3 guys, might as well spend another 50 and guarantee some titles.

I don't think it needs to be done quite frankly. Pat can give all the coaching advice to Spo that he needs to win a ring. I love having Micky as an owner. Stay the hell out of shit he doesn't have a great grasp of, but will pay whatever to be the top dog.

I doubt there is much behind Coach K, but I will say that of all the people working behind the scenes this off season, Pat Riley is the one guy that I think has a handle on things.

He has Wade committed to him and Wade is able to go out and sell Miami while all the other teams are waiting until free agency starts. Riley might not land Lebron, but he will get the other pieces that he wants. And if he really does want Coach K, I happen to think that would be a situation that Coach K would find hard to turn down.

The real amount of max contracts each team can afford, not this nonsense all over Sportscenter.

It makes total sense based on what Toronto has supposedly been looking for and is actually a good deal for them as Beasely could be a 20/10 guy at a quarter of the cost if he pulls it together.

I figured Bosh was probably heading to Miami. I think thats where he wanted to go all along. A package of Mo, JJ and Andy is a better deal imo but it doesnt matter, its CB's decision

Mo at 3 years $27 mil, and Andy at 4 years, $32 mil do not make them attractive to other teams. Way too many years and too much money compared to the production.

Cavs fans just don't see it that way. It's what I've been trying to say, but apparently I'm an idiot.

Of course nothing is a done deal yet, but this makes too much sense not to get done.

Good point. I think the Cavs package brings more as far as quality of talent but if the Raptors are doing this for financial reasons than the Heat probably have the better deal. It doesnt sound like this is a done deal just yet. Windy is reporting that Bosh will wait for Lebron.

Nothing is a done deal at all. It's only going to get more crazy. It's pretty funny though, some people are coming up with some good rumors/lies just to see the hype they get from it.

Correct Mo/AV isn't attractive, that's why only one would be in the package and that would be AV. Cleveland's package will be better in terms of overall assortments but LeBron has to sign first for Bosh to consider. From what just came out from Windy, Cleveland feels pretty confident in getting a big star and they feel that LeBron knows this if he re-signs with Cleveland.

Nothing is set in stone, another BS rumor floated out by a reporter. It won't end until the dotted lines are signed.

The truth is the trio won't happen IMO, a solid truth.

Jefferson opted out of his $15 mil contract.

So, let me get this straight ... Minnesota is interested in Rudy Gay? That's Rudy Gay, the small forward? That's small forward, the same position they just drafted three of in the draft?

High comedy.
