Just noticed a billboard on the north end of town. It had George W.'s Picture on it with the phrase. "Miss me yet?" I am going to go out and get a picture to post. Not sure how to get the pic from Iphone to OC. Might need my brothers help, he's at work now so If I can't get it to work I'll have him hook me up.

But to answer the question "NO"

I miss Clinton also except for NAFTA, I did vote for Bush but probably won't vote for another Republican until they start doing something. Something besides stalling every bill that is introduced.

Even if the economy turns around and we get out of Iraq/Afghanistan without fucking those places up anymore than we already have?

That's the best case scenario but I still think it's a bit early to be putting the final judgment call on the dudes presidency seeing as his first term isn't to the half way point yet.

NAFTA was the only thing of relevance Clinton ever done. Other than that, he just sat back and rode the waves of the .com boom.

George W Bush had eight years to get it right and frankly, he came up quite a bit short. Barack Obama hasn't even had two years in office. I think at the end of his time in the presidency, we will find that we will not miss George. In fact, I don't miss him now. I think President Obama is going to do just fine.

Really? Which surgery did you have first; the lobotomy or the castration?

This seems rather political, no?

BTW, I'm voting Thomas Jefferson in 2012.

FDR absolutely ripped up the constitution and set recovery from the great depression back about 5 years. If I have to take a dem as president I will always take Clinton.

Bush II was an idiot though. He was a big government, bible thumper. Yuck.

Do I miss W compared to Obama - yeah

Do I miss W because he was a "great" President- Not so much

The difference between W and Obama is, W was taking us to bankruptcyville in a car, Obama has us bond, gagged and blindfolded on a supersonic jet!

W was taking us to bankruptyville in exchange for us getting to kill some people in a desert thousands of miles away.

Obama is taking us there in exchange for health care.

Both are awful reasons to run the deficit up.

People tend to give ownership to presidents past and present of our debt problem. I have been guilty of it myself. It is true the president bares a great responsibility but congress is responsible as well. In fact the house has the power under article 1 section 7 to not fund any federal government expense. The house is supposed to be the closest representation of the popular will of the people. They hold the power of the purse yet rarely zip it shut.
