I'll put posting rights during the NBA Finals on it, thats how good I feel that Shaq will play more than 15-18 mpg.

So if I win, you don't post at all during the NBA Finals if Cleveland makes it. If you win, I won't post at all on the Cleveland Cavs threads nor will I make another usernamer.

They will have to beat the Cavs by outplaying them, not by exploiting those huge matchup problems.
LOL. Word for word from Danny Ferry and all the lemmings. Shaq has played poorly all year at both ends of the court. It's not his fault, he's just gone over the hill.

If Shaq can't guard the weaker centers, how in the hell will be guard the best center?

The Cavs can still win the title, but if and only if Brownie shitcans the Shaq on Howard nonsense.

I'll take him belief in Shaq stopping Howard over some guy on the internet that said Jamison shouldn't even play during the playoffs.

So Lebron having the best +/- for the year is irrelevant? Look, I agree it's not the best indicator for any particular game, but when the discrepancy is consistant throughout the whole season, then one can draw conclusions.

Secondly, Shaq's fg numbers, free throw numbers, turnover numbers are also very poor. Are they also irrelevant?

He's had his minutes slashed to the bone. Why is that?

Has nothing to do with it one bit. When LeBron comes out in a post game interview and says Shaq is stinkin up the joint...there's a little more too it than foul trouble.

Also...don't blame his thumb. The team has played with him on the court all year....including prior to him injuring his thumb.

So which is it? Did he play all year or are his minutes being reduced? He's only been back four games if you recall. Were his minutes declining before the injury? Not really.

What don't you understand about him coming in for his size to clog the middle against guys that we always have to double team because of their size? He's playing right now against the Bulls because Brown is trying to get him on some sort of a roll and it's the fucking Bulls. They aren't a terrible team by any means, but it shouldn't matter what we do--we win on talent alone in this series. Do we NEED him against Howard? Probably not, but he sure as hell helps the cause.

What an absurd point of view. Is Shaq the player that he was four years ago? No. Does he still matchup well with Howard? Yes.

In fact, he is probably the best in the league at limiting Howard around the basket. Just because he has regressed as a player and he isn't what he was even during the Heat's run doesn't mean that he adds nothing of value. He has trouble matching up against smaller, quicker centers or guys that have range and pull him out of the paint. Howard relies on his strength around the basket which is what Shaq is still good at limiting.

Do you really think that Z, Varejao, Ben Wallace, Joe Smith, or JJ Hickson would do a better job than Shaq against Howard? I need you to answer that question.

His minutes have been reduced in the playoffs because the stakes are higher. The team wants to win a title. It's quite obvious to Brown, the team has struggleed with him on the court.

If you somehow think that Shaq has performed as advertised, then go see a Youngstown mafiosi don and get some laser eye surgery.
