Sorry I'm late to this party, but I agree wholeheartedly. I mean, if one is going this route, LBJ should've led a 66-win team last year to the Finals with another prime year under his belt, and of course, better supporting cast. Why not? MJ played when he was 40 and even scored more than 40 in games. LBJ will prob have 5 more years of playing on his body than MJ did at 40, but I still think he can do it. Of course LBJ will change his game, all the great ones do to keep themselves relevant. He is a freak athlete. He'll keep himself in top shape for the next 15 years. He'll be slower, not as quick, not as athletic. But he will not be a punk. He'll still be a great passer. He'll probably have a back to the basket type of game. His 2.8 assists is not indicative of a player that could triple his assists. As I stated earlier Shaq has a career average of 2.6 assists and he is a Center. Besides, he already average 3.3 TOs a game. If you average 2.8 youd only need to double it really to get to near 6 a game. Im not saying he will, Im saying its not like its crazy to think he could average that for a year. Big difference between lebron and jordan. Jordan wasnt in the league until he was 21. He missed a year and a half when he retired the first time. When he retired again he was 34. I dont think his situation is right to avg 6+ a year so I dont think hell ever do it. Hes a young player though, given a few years and IF he had to run point forward I think he could come close to 6 a game.
