GO / Mck game
Flag football ..... The officials could not keep the flags off the field
They called them on both sides fair and equal (?) but man what a group of momentum stoppers. Hate watching games like this …
Mck was out played …. But the Puppies got the good brakes and big play
Bad snap for a extra point and it turns in to a 2 point play… the ball could not have bounced better to make this happen…
Deep side line pass route and back that a down and out pattern ( leaving the middle open) and the QB takes off ..30 yard down field before the GO safeties defender turn around … McK scores…

it was flag football .. but i dont know about equal... i know that McK had 119 yards in penalties and GO had 36... not too close lol.. but it was a rough game.. what turned the momentum was McK intercepting that HB pass from Dunn at the end of the first half.. That was huge...

If Dunn would have just thrown the ball in stead of lobbing it the receiver could have been running away from the defender, plus the lobbing the ball gave the defensive back time to get over there.McKAlumni07;505729 wrote:it was flag football .. but i dont know about equal... i know that McK had 119 yards in penalties and GO had 36... not too close lol.. but it was a rough game.. what turned the momentum was McK intercepting that HB pass from Dunn at the end of the first half.. I think the Mck QB broken pass play for the score on that long run ..hurt them to follow that up with a busted snape field goal and run it in for 2 points ....hurt
As I have stated early Mck is not a focus team lot of mental errors and sometimes at the wrong time... but they played good and got the breaks to win and at the end of the game the next day there a big "W" ...does matter how or what happen all anyone going to look at is the 'L" and "W" colume.

Actually Belly, the lob pass didn't help matters, but the real reason that play didn't work is because Dunn never tried to sell the run. I watched the replay friday night, and the second he got the ball in his hands you could tell it was a HB pass. If he would have just tucked it for a second, that play works.

Week 7 Games:
Glenoak at Lake: Tough one to call. Both teams are reeling a bit. Lake is still trying to recover from all the devastating injuries and Glenoak is trying to figure out how they are 3-3 despite having the best player in the league. Oh yah, you have to be balanced, something Glenoak is not. Prediction: Lake in a close one
Fitch at Hoover: I'm still not completely sold on Fitch. I saw them for the first time Friday and did not come away impressed. They have managed to beat McKinley which is not easy at all, but I just don't see it. At the same time I think Hoover is still lacking a bit in talent and goes down in this one. Prediction: Fitch
Jackson at Boardman: Jackson is still hurt and playing in Boardman. They aren't the type of team that can overcome injuries to so many key positions. That plus Boardman has played much better the last few weeks. Pretty much as simple as that Prediction: Boardman
Perry at McKinley: Game of the Week. Is Perry for real? Is this the week Bulldogs start rolling? It seems about this time every year McKinley starts jelling and playing up to their potential. Should be a hard fought game with plenty of physical play, most likely low scoring. Prediction: Perry proves they are real

Good game by Fitch tonight. Up on Hoover 42-6 at Half. Finished 42-12. Saw that Boardman defeated Jackson, didn't catch the Lake-GlenOak or Perry-McKinley scores.

So you guys have been outscored 6-0 in your last 24 minutes of football? You need to work on that.

You should be worried. We are hitting our stride. McKinley will be sorry! We will invade Fawcett and come out with a win.

I dont know, he was watching awfully close when you were cooking your sausage. I think he was getting giddy, and excited. Said something about couldnt wait for after the game.
