Basketball is a team game. If Mo Williams shoots the ball like shit like last year, the team will most likely lose. If DWest stinks out the joint like he did last night, the Cavs will probably lose. Same thing with Parker. He had better play a lot better than he has over the past month, or the team will lose.

LBJ is by far and away the best player in basketball. But the cast has to play well to win a ring.

The Cavs are about a 2 to 1 underdog to win the title against the field this year....even though they are the favorite to win over any individual team.

That is reality, even though many of us Cav fans don't want to acknowledge it. In other words, one could bet $50 on the Cavs in Vegas, and Vegas would pay $90 if in fact the Cavs win.

It's not easy winning a title. Hopefully, Jupiter alligns with Mars and the Cavs end up snipping down the nets.

I see what you're saying. LBJ could put up his 30/8/8.. but if that team doesn't do it again-- there will be some head scratching again. I won't be doing it because I don't think they're the best. But if a TEAM can dominate a regular season two seasons in a row, but can't win the title, somebody in the franchise will be called overrated. LBJ isn't, but at the same time, and I hate saying it, as a leader-- somehow, someway, you've got to have your team playing great when it matters most. But hey, we'll talk about that if and when the day comes.

Should he be fired? Probably not.
Will he be fired? I think so.

And if he does get fired, you have to really look at Bron staying/going again.

Doug Collins was canned because Jordan fell short a couple years. Phil Jackson came in and the winning rings started happenin.

My take is that Brownie is a damn good coach...and I mainly base that on the fact that his teams rank near the top defensively every year.

The Spurs won titles playing great defense. The Celtics won a title 2 years ago because of defense.

Four teams I think can knock off the Cavs in a series. Boston, LA, Orlando, or Denver. The road isn't as easy as it seems and wouldn't be shocked if Cavs gets knocked out again.

^^Several teams can beat the Cavs. But Boston would have no chance at all. Buston will be a lottery team next year.

This is why no one likes you. Because you say something and then back it up with a completely irrelevant, stupid argument. Like they'll be a lottery team next year...yeah, MAYBE. But that's next year when you're assuming they don't have KG, Allen and Peirce together.

I really don't think Boston has a shot....to me, their window has closed. The other teams present some matchup problems. I think Ainge will blow it up in the offseason and start rebuilding.

If they lose in the NBA Finals he may get a reprieve. If they get eliminated in the ECF, or before, his ass should be fired before he even walks off the floor after they have been eliminated.

If they win, Brown is back.

If they lose, it'll depend how they lose--if it's players going cold, then it's hard to say it's the coach. But if they lose who knows what will happen. Does LeBron like him? Does LeBron want them to figure out the coaching situation before he signs? Many questions, too many variables, we'll see.

If they lose and LeBron leaves then Brown will be fired.

I really think there is one team that can beat Cleveland and that team isn't playing well and two of their main guys are dinged up.

Mike Brown should be fired even if the Cavaliers win it all. Mike Brown is awful. Okay... that is a little bit of an exaggeration, but still... I do not think he is that great of a Coach. I think most of his success has resulted largely in part of inheriting LeBron James.

I think it will be the other way around.

If Brown is fired, Bron leaves. If Brown is retained, Bron stays.

The Cavaliers FO first and only main objective is to retain LeBron. They won't work on anything before knowing that LeBron will stay or go.

Brown wouldn't be coaching for Cleveland if LeBron wasn't here.

What reason should Cleveland have to be overconfident against the Celtics? When was the last time Cleveland won as season series against them and last time I checked Cleveland is 1-10 their last 11 trips to Boston. Yeah some can say Shaq and Varejao didn't play in the last contest but Paul Pierce didn't play in that that one win Cleveland did get their last 11 times in Boston. I'm just saying based on recent history there is no reason Boston should be counted out. Now I do think the Cavs have the better team and should win if the two teams matchup, but Boston still has the exact starting 5 from when they won the championship so they are loaded with experience.

Boston was old when they won the title and that was 2 years and a major knee surgery for KG ago.

That is a fair assessment. My opinion is that Garnett(even though they are only 2 yrs removed from a championship), looks like a shell of his former self. They just don't seem like the defensive team that they once were.

And by the way, the Cavs went 2-2 against the C's this year. Yeah they didn't win the season series, but they didn't lose it either.
