Sorry I’m a little late...had to drive to school to put assignments in packets.

Name the last 3 pitchers to win 25+ games in a season.

  • Pedro? Don’t think he got 25 ever.
  • Pettite?
  • Smoltz?
  • Hampton?
  • Mussina?

I mean, off the top of my head the only one I know for SURE got 25 was Seaver. And he only got it once.

Johan?

I was waiting for I92, but if Seaver is correct, Koufax is likely one also.

Oh I know one. The dude that died a few years back for Oakland. Forget his name though.

My guess is some guys in the 70s got it, but I’m almost positive JV and Pedro never did. Same with Randy, so I doubt anyone from the 90s on has done it.

Ron Guidry? I mean someone for the Yankees had to hit 25 wins with as much as they won around then lol.

Bob Welch won a ton with the late 80's early 90's A's
Ron Guidry went 27-3 or some ridiculous record with the Yankees in the late 70's.

These are two of my guesses. I can't remember any modern era pitcher winning that many.

Bob Welch! That’s the guy I was thinking of. He was Trivia in a Tribe game about 25 wins, just randomly popped into my head during this trivia.

Stoney. Living in Chicago, probably should’ve gotten that.

Yes Steve Stone with the Orioles. I think 1980. He is lucky to have 100 career wins and he had 25 in one year and he had a no-no early in his career with the White Sox. He had a ton of arm troubles in his career but he was always mentioned as some one who "doctored the ball" especially in his 25 win season.
