My S7 must be a dud, because I've hated it for almost 2 years now.

I went on Craigslist and traded mine straight-up for an older Nexus 6P.
I don't regret my decision.

And when I say "power user", I mean I have like 35 home screens with shortcut buttons (too lazy to swipe!). For example, I have probably 60 stock/index quote widgets, and another 15 fullscreen news widgets. All 1-2 clicks away with no lag whatsoever.
Yeah, I've wasted a lot of time over the years tweaking it. Some people have OCD over cleaning, I have mine with electronics/software.

Same. Our homescreens probably look different, but I've been the same way with mine. Another reason I prefer an unlocked bootloader and rooted device.
Also, until they stopped supporting a widget, the Skyscanner flight watcher app was always a staple.

LOL, some people would say my phone is horrific. I've never understood these people. They seem like the weird ones to me - your phone is not a fashion statement, it's a tool for function and utility. If your phone is just an app launcher you're doing it wrong - don't get me started on Tasker.

Same way. I have a very specific arrangement for my home screen, and it has zero to do with aesthetics. I'm generally the only one who looks at it anyway.
I did go through a phase, though, where I preferred some obfuscation in case someone else got a hold of it, so I actually had all my app icons and folder icons set to invisible. My home screen looked like a blank screen, but I knew where everything was, so I knew where to hit the screen anyway.

Depends on who you trust. The "trusted devices/locations" works really well to disable my lockscreen in places I don't want it. So I'm not generally bothered by that annoyance, but if I lose it in public it will be locked. Works great with my smartwatch, then basically anywhere it gets 30 feet away from me it locks.
