Football:

Pittsburgh Steelers-Game-winning TD pass from Roethlisberger to Holmes in Super Bowl XLIII. So many other moments that are up there but this one stands out. So many others I could be here all day typing them.

Notre Dame-Beating #1 Florida State in The Game of the Century in South Bend back in '93. Sadly, the loss to Boston College the following week was, in my mind, the beginning of the downslide that they've been on for the better part of the last 15+ years. The Fiesta Bowl win over WVU for the 1988 National Championship. The 1992 Snow Bowl vs. Penn State when Mirer found Bettis for a TD and then hit Reggie Brooks in the corner of the end zone for the game-winning 2-pt. conversion. Bettis' TD jaunt against Florida in the 1992 Sugar Bowl. Pat Terrell batting down the pass in ND's 1988 win over Miami(FL). Rocket's punt return for a TD against Colorado in the 1991 Orange Bowl (even though it was wiped out by a questionable clipping call).

Steubenville Catholic Central-Beating Steubenville Big Red back in 1992. Winning the State title in 1993.


Hockey:

Pittsburgh Penguins-So many great memories from the Pens of the early 90's but the wild sequence at the end of Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals last year takes the cake.


Baseball:

NL-Pittsburgh Pirates-Barry Bonds walk-off homer vs. Lee Smith in the early 90's.

AL-New York Yankees-Jim Leyritz's home run in Game 4 of the 1996 World Series. Aaron bleepin' Boone's HR vs. the Sox. Game 5 of the 2001 World Series after 9/11.


Basketball:

New York Knicks-Allan Houston's series-winning shot vs. the Eastern Conference #1 seed Miami Heat in the 1999 NBA Playoffs. What a rivalry that was. All wins over Jordan and the Bulls.

Syracuse Orange(men)-Wow. Gerry McNamara's entire 2006 Big East Tournament. Syracuse's SIX Overtime victory over Uconn in last year's Big East tourney. Dave Johnson hitting a buzzer beater over Alonzo Mourning to win the Big East tourney back in 1991. Hakim Warrick's last second block to secure the victory over Kansas in the 2003 national title game. Syracuse's victory over Georgia in the 1996 NCAA tourney (amazing sequence at the end of that game). Lawrence Moten hitting a deep 3 to win a game vs. Villanova back in 1993 or '94. Marius Janulis' game winning 3-pointer vs. Iona in the 1998 NCAA tourney. Adrian Autry's 2nd half and overtime performance in a NCAA tourney game loss to Missouri back in 1992 or '93.

As a Red Wings fan, I didn't think there was a chance of the Wings losing after they completely dominated Game 5, winning 5-0. I think they left it all there in Game 5. The Pens earned that championship in game 6 and 7. Nothing will ever convince me that the Penguins were better than the Red Wings that year, but they certainly deserved and earned that title.

After Ericsson scored that goal I was thinking to myself "Please no god, let us win". I about had a heartattack myself when Kronwall hit the post.

Being able to watch Lemieux play in Columbus was awesome. It was the only time I ever saw Him and jagr play together at a game.

The 1968 World Series Game seven pop out that gave the Tigers their first World Series win since 1945 (the year I was born, although I didn't arrive in time for the '45 victory, since I was born in November.) Mickey Lolich won three games and the far more well thought of pitcher, Bob Gibson didn't have as great a Series as was expected. For that matter, neither did Denny McClain.

We don't normally agree, but I agree with that. The Penguins played so hard that final 3 minutes. Oh the painful memories!

- beating Michigan in 2006 (I was there)
- Wining the Rose Bowl this year to end the bowl losing streak

Ohio State basketball -

- beating Wisconsin 49-48 to clinch the 2007 B10 regular season title (I was there)
- making it to the final 4 in 2007

Cleveland Browns

- the 2007 season in general
- Blowing out the defending champion Giants on MNF in 08

Cleveland Indians

- I can't remember much about 95, but I do remember listening to the final pitch of the 97 ALCS on the radio, so I'll go with that
- beating the Yankees in the 2007 ALDS
- a random game I went to against KC where we entered the 9th down 3-1 and Sizemore hit a 3 run walk off triple

Cleveland Cavaliers

- 2007 Eastern Conference finals
- LeBron's game winning shot in game 2 vs Orlando (even though we lost the series, I'll still remember it like Red Sox fans remember Fisk's HR in 75). I was at a bar in Newport, KY and the whole place went nuts....it was almost like we were in Cleveland

Columbus Blue Jackets

- clinching the playoff spot last year
- the one game I've been to, a 3-2 win against Buffalo. Lot's of cocky Sabres fans in attendance left unhappy when we scored 2 goal in the 3rd to get a comeback W

Columbus Crew

- ok, I'm much of a soccer fan and I rarely watch any games, but I've always considered myself a Crew fan because their the home team. I did watch both of their final 2 games when they won the MLS cup in 08, and that was pretty cool to see

1. The 1968 National Champion Ohio State Buckeyes led by Rex Kern, Jack Tatum, and Jim Otis wrapping up the NC with a Rose Bowl victory over OJ Simpson's USC Trojans.
2. The 1975 and 1976 World Series champion Cincinnati Reds. The Big Red Machine with the likes of Johnny Bench, Pete Rose, George Foster, etc.
3. The 1999 Wire-to-wire World Series champion Cincinnati Reds.
4. The 2002 National Champion Ohio State Buckeyes and the nail-biting OT NC victory over Miami.

I hate the Steelers with every fiber of my being, but that was an incredible play...and it's an amazing photograph. You can see the time, the score, and the expression on people's faces as it was happening.

Browns- The Webster Slaughter years, probably my favorite Browns player of all-time!

One of my two all time favorite sports moments was the 1979 Daytona 500. Richard Petty won after Cale and Donnie crashed and got into 'the fight'. The noise of the cars was loud, but during the last lap the grandstands erupted like I've only seen one other time.
The other was 1997 FSU at Florida. The screaming was not just all of a sudden in the last minute, it was the whole game. When the Gators went 80 yds. in 3 plays with under 2 minutes left, the place went crazy. When Thomas picked off Busby, it was louder than anything ever. ( I was front row for AC/DC's cannons firing on 'For those about to rock'...not even close.) I was in the 4th row of the north end zone. The players came up and did the Lambeau leap into our seats. It was like a mosh pit, and I was surrounded by hot coeds.

Detroit Tigers: October 14, 2006; Game 4 ALCS
Being at Comerica to see Magglio Ordonez hit a pennant clinching 3 run home run will forever be one of the best sports moments of my life. The whole scene was so incredible and I am not ashamed at all to admit I shed a couple tears afterwards during the celebration.

Detroit Red Wings: With the success it's hard to find one particular moment but a couple stand out. March 26, 1997, the infamous brawl at the Joe with the Avalanche. I remember watching the game with my parents and seeing McCarty deck Lemieux was great then Vernon taking down Roy topped it. 1998 Stanley Cup may have been the most memorable with Yzerman handing the Cup to Konstantinov on the ice and whole team surrounding him. One of the moments you just couldn't script any better.

Detroit Lions: Well there aren't many but being able to see Barry Sanders in person many times at the Silverdome will always be great memories. Never heard a roar for a player being introduced like that since. Was also at the infamous Lions/Steelers Turkey Day Game where Bettis called the toss but the ball went to the Lions.

Detroit Pistons: Winning the 2004 NBA title over the Lakers when no one picked them and said the Lakers would win in 4 or 5. Lakers ended up being the ones who were lucky to not be swept.

Toledo Rockets Football: Very easy one, Bruce Gradkowski hitting Lance Moore in the corner of the end zone at the Glass Bowl as UT beat #9 ranked Pitt and Larry Fitzgerald.

Michigan Football: Charles Woodson's punt return against OSU and that whole game in general.

Bengals: Winning the AFC North 2007 & 2010, And Corey Dillion breaking the NFL Rushing record for most yards in a game

Reds: I was only 8 when they won the World Series, So when they signed Junior and seeing him hit #400, 500 & 600 all with the Reds

Celtics: Trading for Kevin Garnett & Ray Allen & the 2008 NBA Championship

OSU: Basketball the Final 4 run a couple years ago and Football the 2002 National Championship season and being there last year and rushing the field after beating Iowa to clinch the the Big 10 Championship and Rose Bowl berth.

as a spurs fan, my favorite moment recently besides sweeping lebron and the cavaliers out of the finals was this moment. after it happened i couldnt stop laughing at nash's reaction
