The sad part is, Lebron puts up those numbers almost nightly and Cavs fans shrug it off like no big deal. Kobe has a game like this once or twice a year, and Lakers fans go crazy.
And that my friends, is the difference.
No here is the difference:
There is a reason why Horry isn't holding any Finals MVP or any other trophies. There is a huge difference from being on the right teams at the right time and being the major factor in winning Titles.
Horry career stats:
7.0 ppg
4.8 rpg
2.1 apg
Pretty pathetic try even for you though.
Thanks for posting his stats, because Robert Horry is an average player at best, and isn't even in the discussion for being an all-time great. Sure he has more rings than Kobe Bryant, and Micheal Jordan, as well as Shaq and just about every player not named Bill Russel, but he's god awful.
The point is, Kobe's stats look average when you compare them to an all-time great like Lebron James. Sure, Kobe has more rings, but the Robert Horry effect proves that rings don't mean you are a great player. To summarize, Kobe is like the Robert Horry of the modern day NBA, more rings than the GOAT, but just average overall.
Actually let's put it this way. Say before Robert Horry retired, you were arguing with Robert Horry fans, showing the statistics of Kobe Bryant, who obviously has better overall statistics, by a long shot. Then you have a Robert Horry fan say "Well, Robert Horry has 7 rings, Kobe only 3(or 4 now I guess)". And then you quickly rebutt, well Kobe Bryant has superior stats and is obviously the better player, while the Robert Horry responds with a picture of him having 7 rings. See how retarded your argument is?
