Seriously? You guys (and I'm including OTHER Cleveland fans) are arguing about a lame ass dunk contest that people have stopped caring about. It's not the same as it used to be when Jordan did it, or even when Vince and Kobe were doing it...

That's why you NEVER see it full of superstars anymore..

It's lame as fuck..
Ok and Lebron had a chance to bring it back and he dropped out like a bitch
I doubt he could bring it back.....it has ran it's course. There is no originality anymore. I wouldn't watch it if Kobe, Lebron, Dwade and other superstars were in it. That competition belonged to Dominique and MJ.......the novelty has worn off.

I liked watching VC and Richardson more then I did seeing Jordan and Nique. Jordans trademark dunk has been done between the legs from the foul line, 2 handed foul line ect.

Yeah, they were good also. What the hell was that one guy's name that they called "baby jordan"....he was good as well. And to be honest, the guys that do it now are gifted, but there are only so many ways to dunk and now they are really stretching for ideas.

How did the conference finals turn out for your boys? Havent seen Carmelo in any dunk contests either. ;)

Exactly.. And like I said before, now it's not even about the dunks, but the show put on before each dunk...i.e Dwight Howard coming out of a phone booth with a cape on...

It's just not thrilling anymore.. The only things I enjoy outside of the rookie-soph game and the actual All Star game, are the 3 point contest and the Skills competition.

Like I said previously, I'd LOVE to see a REAL Horse contest in the arena... It'd be great to see some of the trick shots they could come up with.. Much more so than the dunk contest, imo..

i respect lebron as a player but im just not a lebron fan....he doesnt seem to get it....i dont think he has the charachter of jordan or even kobe(minus the rape charge)....not shaking hands after a loss and saying its because "im a winner"...no your not you lost just shake hands like everyone else. This is just another example. im fine if you dont want to be in it, but dont say you are and then not do it.

Read on another board that people have been reading that he will be a surprise entry into the contest and named last minute. They didnt provide a link so I dont know how true it could be, but I could definite see it happening, and this is 100% why...

People are calling out Bron because he has said since last year's contest that he would be in this year's. Not once during the past year did he hint at not entering. I for one don't really care, I won't watch it either way.

I am asking because I do not know. Other than at the ASG, did he say again that he would enter? When he said it during the SDC last year he used the word "preliminary".

Thats exactly why he isn't doing it. He is afraid he would lose and then not show up for the post dunk contest interview to explain how he lost to a bunch of "SCRUBS".

^^^Obviously. This douchebag takes him self so seriously. That ws apparent when the tape of him get posterized by some unknown college player was confiscated. That's such a weird fucking thing to do.

They want Lebrick to be some immortal basketball superhero. And he wants that image himself.

Look, dbag, you're the face of the league, fans buy your shit up lke crazy. Give the fans what they want to see: You're lame ass get owned in the dunk contest. You wanna be a big joker, laughing and dancing on the sidelines when you're up. Then act like the bitch you are when things are down.

i hate to tell Lebrick, but his immortal b.ball hero image was lost when he got owned then stormed off the court to go cry before anyone could see his little tantrum. P-U-S-S-Y...

Yeah really.. "Minus the rape" charge... smh..

It's kind of crazy to see that some guys put "not shaking hands" as a worse offense than a rape charge...
:(

And the character of Jordan? What character? He was and still is regarded as one of the biggest pricks to play the game. Go back and look at his HOF speech. He was STILL calling people out. He had gambling problems that probably led to the death of his father as well.. Oh, let's not forget that he punched one of his own teammates...

Not if the rape charge was bogus and didn't happen, which is what happened.

Rape is being aggressive....not shaking hands is being passive. I would rather have a team full of rapists, than some rotten bastard that walks off the floor without shaking hands.
