Anyone ever been to a lamb roast?

As a kid my grandpa was the head lamb roaster cook at the Croatian picnics.15 to 20 lamb being turn over a open pit..
Love roasted lamb...green onion and round bread... Lots of beer, whiskey shots and polka dancing, get a little crazy after a few hours....

Does anyone here on the OC attended an ethnic nationality type picnics and what is the special food served or prepared?

Does attending a feast of local goat and camel in a remote village count?

The only lamb roast I'm familiar with is what I've seen on that old MASH TV episode where the Greek UN soldiers want to cook Radar's baby sheep.

A girl I was seeing many years ago invited me to her relatives' cookout. One of the uncles was barbecuing a goat, and I was challenged to try it.

It wasn't half baa-aa-aa-d.

It is ethnic. I thought it was a thread about the morality of eating lamb.

I've been to a hog roast, but I've never been to a lamb roast. That said, I do love lamb. My grandpa would always have a supply of lamb burger, chops, etc, and would fix it frequently when I was his responsibility for dinner.

St. Constantine Greek fest, Mayfield Rd, Cleveland Heights is a good one; so is St. Nicholas greek fest in Youngstown.

And I make a fine smoked martini leg of lamb.

You won't get shot, but you will be inundated with radical left-wingers living in an urban, liberal echo chamber.
